In the first phase students were asked to redevelop the area around the station including the square and a linear part of the street along the train tracks in terms of urban space in groups of four. In the second phase they were asked to design the square that faces the station and the station itself according to a programmatic brief individually. First phase is group work and second is individual. In the first phase, students were asked to develop an urban design idea for an archaeological park, that is the area which immediately surrounds the museum including the Uğur MumcuSevgi Yolu that links the museum on one side to the temple of Artemis and Ephesus and on the other to the train station. In the second phase, they were asked to design a visitor center and the area that surrounds the building. In the first phase, groups were asked to develop an urban design idea for the area where the street market is held and which is immediately behind the bus terminal. In the second phase, they were asked to design the social center and the area that surrounds the building.
