Welcome to Viinistu! An idyllic fishermans village welcomes You on the north-west coast of Pärispea peninsula, not far from it s peak! A former fish processing plant built more than 40 years ago has now more than 10 years offered cultural experiences, local food traditions and accomodation to it s guests. We re doing preparations for starting 2015 season to kindly host lots of guests interested in art and culture as well as people who lives under the rules of Poseidon and has a sailorman s heart under their skin. How to find us? Following all the sailing rules and traditions and navigating to coordinates 59 38'48.6"N 25 45'18.1"E You will be soon guided by the blinks of the lighthouse towering in Mohni island. A true companion on the port side until You ll notice our two big chimneys on the starboard. Good to know in our waters The dip seabed in our coastal waters let the sailors feel safe and get the best out of sailing when approaching to our harbour. Avoid getting too close to the peak of the peninsula called cape Purekkari. The main guidance will be offered by the lighthouse of Mohni island with coordinates 59 41 2,1 N, 25 47 43,6 E
How to enter our harbour waters? We are following plan to install a leading line with two marks on our territory (bigger chimney and rooftop of the restaurant) connected to a buoy for safe entering. We have already set two buoys at the fairway as shown on the drawing. There s also one buoy inside the harbour waters marking underwater rock. How to moor in our harbour waters? Sailing boats can be attached by fore to both northern and southern pier connecting stern to one of the buoys. The southern pier will turn sensitive to waves with strong winds from north and east and with enough space available the yachts can be attached to northern pier by one it s board. Sailors visiting us will be provided with shower and toilet facilities with oportunitity to enjoy a traditional sauna for additional pay. Electricity will be served on both of the piers, fresh water is available on the northern pier. All the main meals can be found from our cozy restaurant, in summer season fresh smoked fish will be prepared under Your eyes. In case of interest transfers will be organized both in mainland or to Mohni island. The art museum with Jaan Manitski s private collection (almost 1000 works from Estonian artists) is opened every day to visit. And there s always a chance to meet some concert or theatre play when stopping by in our venue. Guided trips to museum and guided walks in the village can be also arrange. The followers of an active lifestyle can practice tennis both inside and outside court, play table tennis and pool or use the inside court (5-minute walk away) for other physical activities. Bicycles and electric car are available for rent to discover the peninsula. And who needs a steady goodnight sleep can be arrange to stay in our hotel with reasonable prices.
