Budget impact By updating the value of each step and the job classification schedule (for paraprofessional and auxiliary job groups), the annual budgetary impact for all funding source is approximately $ 1,196,684. As previously discussed, General Fund will need to absorb some of the salary increase cost for Food Service since the increased cost will exceed the funds projected food service budget.

Compensation and Benefits DEA (Local) Compensation and Benefits Wage and Hour Laws The Superintendent shall recommend to the Board for approval compensation plans for all District employees. Compensation plans may include wage and salary structures, stipends, benefits, and incentives. Recommendation: Approve the Auxiliary and Paraprofessional job classifications (with job descriptions to follow) and compensation schedules to grant a pay increase for these noncontract employees effective with the 2015-2016 fiscal year start date with an increase to the General Fund budget from fund balance of $936,419.73 and an increase to the Food Service budget of $99,568.15.
