He now serves as an Instructional Coach in El Monte Union High School District. Carlos, Mario Current Job Title: Assistant Principal Work Site: La Habra City School District Summary of Experience: Carlos began teaching in 1994 in Fontana and then moved to La Habra where he became an assistant principal in 2005. He received his BA from UC Berkeley, MS from UCLA, and Tier II Administrative Credential from CSUF. Carmona, Sangeetha Current Job Title: Intervention Specialist Work Site: Shandin Hills Middle School Summary of Experience: After receiving a B.A. in History and M.Ed. from University of California, Riverside, Sangeetha started her career as an elementary and then a middle school public school teacher in San Bernardino. Upon completion of an M.A. in Educational Leadership through CSUSB she implemented and refined systematic and school-wide process of directive, timely, and flexible response to intervention using best practices as well as effective and targeted instruction as an intervention specialist. She is now also conducting targeted professional development training sessions and workshops for teachers and staff using instructional design principles after finishing her M.S. in Instructional Design & Technology from CSUF.
Dorsey, Steven Current Job Title: Principal Work Site: Granada Middle School Summary of Experience: Steven is a graduate of CSUF, class of 95 in Criminal Justice. He worked in Law enforcement for 4 years and has been in education for the last 15 years. Steven started as a teacher in Santa Ana Unified then moved to Fullerton School District. Eventually, he moved to East Whittier City as an Assistant Principal and over the last four years has been the Principal of Murphy Ranch Elementary. Currently, he is Principal at Granada Middle School. Hartloff, Kristin Current Job Title: Instructional Coach Work Site: Eisenhower Elementary Summary of Experience: Kirstin was born and raised in California and has been married for two years. She received a BFA from Chapman University in Dance/Theatre and an MS from CSUF in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction. She also worked in Garden Grove Unified for ten years, her first years as an upper grade teacher and currently as an Instructional Coach. During that time, he has taught every section of English except the 8 th grade. In addition, he has also taught world history and U.S. History. Alex received a Bachelor s Degree in Communications from CSU Dominguez Hills and has a Masters Degree in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) and a preliminary administrative credential. He is currently working on adding an additional authorization to teach science (middle school general, high school: Earth Science). She was then the Education Director for Harlem Children s Zone Head Start and began her work ink-12 administration in 2005 in New York City. She has a BA from Williams College and an MS from Bank Street College. Later she attended Teachers College, Columbia University. Myers-Wagner, Kelly Current Job Title: Faculty/ Supervisor in Teacher Education Work Site: Brandman University Summary of Experience: Received a B.A. and M.A in Special Education from the University of California at Riverside. Kelly brings 18 years of educational experience and background in teaching K-8 in the public schools, mentoring and providing support to experienced teachers as well as training and instructing new teachers. Kelly became the first Nationally board Certified Teacher(NBCT) in her school district in 2000 and recently recertified for another ten years. She serves as a support provider for veteran teachers in the Inland Empire wanting be a NBCT. Kelly served on the advisory committee with UCR s Extension s coordinating classes for the Exemplary Teaching and Instructional Leadership certificate and teaches online courses with UCR Extension. Currently she is also teaching at Brandman University supervising new teachers and teaching methods courses through a blended-online ideal learning approach.
Nieto, David Current Job Title: Social Science Teacher Work Site: Newton Middle School Summary of Experience: David received a B.A. in History and an M. S. Ed. from California State University, Fullerton. He has taught all levels of middle school social sciences within the Hacienda La Puente Unified School district. As a teacher leader at the site level, he currently serves as grade level chair, site leadership team member, RTI team member, GATE/Honors coordinator, SPSA chair, and creator and designee for two school wide intervention programs. Rivas, Rachael Current Job Title: Teacher, Theatre Arts/English Work Site: Orange High School Summary of Experience: Rachael received a B.A. in Theatre Education from CSUF and an M.S. from Walden University in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. She currently runs the Theatre Arts program at Orange High School. She also acts as the site coordinator for Theatrelink, an online distance learning project coordinated through Manhattan Theatre Club in New York City.
