27 July 2015-2 1 DEGREE PROGRAMME TIMETABLE FOR SEMESTER 3, 2015 International Business 2.xxx Hospitality 5.xxx Tourism 3.xxx Information Technology 7.xxx Please Note: Classes for HM, IB and TM students are scheduled to Friday in three hour time slots 9.00 12.00, 12.00 3.00, 3.00 6.00. Classes for IT students are scheduled in time slot to Wednesday 9.00 12.00 and 2.00 5.00; and Friday 9.00 12.00 and 1.00 4.00. You are expected to be available for the whole three hour time slot in which your class is scheduled as there may be workshops, extra tutorials, etc. included. Starting late or leaving early for an outside commitment such as work may affect your overall attendance. Timetables for HM, IB and TM students include a three hour time slot on s from 12.00 3.00 and Fridays from 3.00 6.00 that may be used for extra or make-up classes, field trips, workshops, guest lecturers, etc. You are expected to be available for this time slot. Morning classes start on the hour and finish at 10 minutes before hour. Afternoon classes start at 10 minutes past the hour and finish on the hour. Be punctual in your attendance. This is important for learning and will also be a habit you need to observe when you get a job. On-line course selection will be open from Friday 24 July. Please check your ess e-mail accounts before the start of semester to find out if your selections have been approved. A tutorial guide re on-line course selection is available at St Helens and Asquith Campus Reception counters. Students transferring from other schools and seeking cross credits for previous study should seek advice on course selection from your Academic Head of Programme. Cross credits should be applied for at the beginning of your study. New students should refer to the Do it Yourself planning guides that are available for their programme. On-line course selection for Stage 2 and Stage 3 courses will only be approved if there is evidence you have completed the prerequisites. If you plan to apply for cross credit for a pre-requisite, please see your Academic Head of Programme as soon as possible. Stage 1 tutorial streams are closed off at 20 students; approval is given on a first-come-firstserved basis. Please note: Some streams may be programme specific or have programme priority.
