OneClickdigital audio books Audio books can be downloaded from http://gleneira.oneclickdigital.eu and listened to on a variety of devices. You will need to be a member of Glen Eira City Council libraries and create a OneClickdigital account before using this service. The loan period for an audio book is 21 days and you may have up to two renewals. You may borrow up to 25 audiobooks at a time. To borrow OneClickdigital audio books: 1. create a OneClickdigital account; 2. install Media Manager software on your computer or install the app for your portable device; 3. browse, borrow and download books to your computer or portable device; and 4. listen on your computer or portable device. If you would like to use the library network to access this service, please be aware that the OneClickdigital Media Manager is not available on library computers. If using Wi-Fi, you will need to login using a web browser before opening the Media Manager or app on your device. 1. Create a OneClickdigital account If you already have a OneClickdigital account for Glen Eira Libraries, you can skip this step. To create a new account: navigate to http://gleneira.oneclickdigital.eu and select the Create New Account link from the top-right corner enter your Glen Eira Library Card Number (without spaces) nominate the operating system your computer uses from the drop-down list if you nominate Windows as your operating system, you will also need to select a Download Method and Portable Device Type o the recommended download method is Use OneClickdigital Media Manager o if you have an ipod, iphone or ipad, select Apple Device (itunes) o if you have another type of portable audio device, or do not wish to use an audio device, select Other enter the required Personal Information, including a Username and Password select Create an Account 1

2. Use OneClickdigital Media Manager to listen to books Media Manager software is used to manage audio book downloads and transfer books to portable devices. It can also be used to play audio books on your computer. Please note: OneClickdigital Media Manager is not available on library computers. Install OneClickdigital Media Manager software To install Media Manager software on your computer: navigate to http://gleneira.oneclickdigital.eu and select the Getting Started link locate and select the link to download the Media Manager software compatible with your operating system download and install the software (you will need to accept OneClickdigital s Licence Agreement) you may also be prompted to download and install additional software (e.g. Microsoft.NET Framework) once Media Manager is successfully installed, you will be presented with a Log In screen Please note: You need an internet connection to login to OneClickdigital Media Manager 2

Locate and borrow books Books are added to your account from the OneClickdigital web page and then downloaded to your computer using the Media Manager software. Before downloading books, you need to login: navigate to http://gleneira.oneclickdigital.eu and select the Login link in the top-right corner of the page enter your Username and Password and select Login (if you have forgotten your password, select the Forgot your password? link to have it emailed to you) you will now be returned to the Glen Eira Libraries OneClickdigital home page Browse for books using the Newly Added, Featured and What s Popular tabs on the home page. You may also browse by genre using the Browse drop-down menu. Alternatively, you may search for particular titles, authors, narrators and target audiences using the Quick Search bar. If you require a more precise search, select the Advanced Search link to open a search form with more options such as ISBN, series name, fiction/non-fiction and availability. To borrow a book: 1. ensure that the Media Manager software is not running on your computer 2. select the book cover to bring up the book s details 3. from here you can see details of the book and listen to a Preview if desired 4. once you ve decided to borrow the book, nominate a Checkout period (up to 21 days) and select Checkout Now! 5. if you are using Internet Explorer, you will be prompted to open or save the book file choose Open to save the file and launch Media Manager 6. if you are using an alternative web browser, you may need to download and then open the file manually (the file will have the form boookname.ocdf) to launch Media Manager 7. once Media Manager launches, Log In using your account details 8. the first time you login you will need to nominate whether to automatically download checkedout books select Yes or No (this can be changed at any time from the Preferences menu) 9. if you nominated automatic downloads, your book will now begin downloading; otherwise, select the Play button to begin downloading and playback of the book 3

Transfer a book to a portable device Consult the OneClickdigital web page for a list of compatible portable audio devices: http://gleneira.oneclickdigital.eu/help/help.aspx To transfer a book to a portable device: 1. connect your device to your computer 2. open OneClickdigital Media Manager and log in 3. from the books listed under Check Outs, locate the book to transfer: if the book has not yet been downloaded select the Download and Transfer button otherwise select the Transfer button 4. the book will be downloaded (if necessary) and transferred to your device using either itunes or Windows Media Player 5. once the transfer is complete, the book will be available in your device s media player Return or renew book loans Loans will expire automatically when the loan period is reached. It is not necessary to return a book unless you have reached your loan quota and want to borrow another book. To return a book: 1. open OneClickdigital Media Manager and log in 2. from the list of Check Outs, locate the book to be returned 3. select the Return button 4. the book is removed from your Check Outs list If you need more time to finish a book, your loan can be renewed up to two times. Please note: The renewal period is calculated from the day you renew the loan, not the original expiry date of the loan. To renew a loan: 1. open OneClickdigital Media Manager and log in 2. from the list of Check Outs, locate the book to be renewed 3. select the Renew button 4. the Renew button will grey-out and Renewal submitted will be displayed 5. the new expiry date will be displayed next time you login to Media Manager 4

It is also possible to return and renew loans from the OneClickdigital web page by selecting the My Collections tab. 3. Use the OneClickdigital app to listen to books If you have an Apple ipod Touch, ipad or iphone you can download the OneClickdigital app from the App Store and manage your loans and playback directly on your device. Please note: If you will be using the library s Wi-Fi connection to download books, you will need to login to the Wi-Fi network on a web browser before launching the OneClick app. Install the OneClickdigital app To install the OneClickdigital app on your portable Apple device: on your device, open the App Store and search for oneclickdigital install the app (please note there is currently no native ipad version of the app) select the OneClick logo to launch the app choose Australia as your region and then select Done once the app launches, you will be presented with a Login screen Locate and borrow books using the OneClickdigital app 1. launch the OneClick app on your portable Apple device 2. at the Login screen, enter your username and password 3. if you want the app to remember your login details, check the Remember Credentials box 4. select the Browse More Titles link to open the OneClickdigital web page 5. login to the web page 5

6. follow the instructions provided in section two to locate and borrow a book 7. once you ve borrowed your book, select Close to return to your list of checked out books 8. if your book does not appear in the list, drag the My Titles page down and release it to force the page to refresh 9. to download and listen to your book, select the play button next to the title Return and renew loans using the OneClickdigital app There is no need to return a book unless you have borrowed up to your quota and wish to borrow more. Otherwise, books will expire and be removed from your account automatically. To return a book using the OneClickdigital app: 1. from the My Titles page, select the Browse More Titles link to open the OneClickdigital web page 2. select the My Collections tab to display your checked out items 3. locate the loan to be returned and select the Return Now button 4. the loan is removed from your account and the list of checked out items is updated If you need more time to finish a book, your loan can be renewed up to two times. 1. from the My Titles page, select the Browse More Titles link to open the OneClickdigital web page 2. select the My Collections tab to display your checked out items 3. locate the loan to be renewed and select the Renew button 4. the list of checked out items is updated and the new Expiration Date is displayed 7
