You will visit Dijon, Beaune, Lyon, Pezenas, Carcassone, Bordeaux and many more villages in our travel south. Day 1 Tuesday 5 th September Paris Welcome to Paris full of cobblestone laneways, designer stores and chic cafes. Make your way to our beautiful pink hotel (transfer can be arranged on request) in the Latin Quarter surrounded by a cottage garden and cobblestone courtyard where we will have aperitifs waiting for you to discuss the journey ahead. A leisurely evening stroll beside the River Seine taking in the lights of Paris and finishing with a welcome dinner in a restaurant our food and wine guide has selected for us. Accomm: Paris Meals: Afternoon aperitifs / welcome dinner Day 2 Wednesday 6 th September Paris After a leisurely breakfast, Parisienne style, we will meander through some of the quaint streets away from the hectic tourist locations so you can witness the real Paris and the buzz of the morning markets. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to discover everything Paris has to offer or do what most Parisienne s do sit in a cute café and watch the world pass you by. Accomm: Paris Meals: Breakfast Day 3 Thursday 7 th September Dijon Our private driver will meet us this morning leaving Paris behind us as we begin our journey through picture postcard scenery as we travel through the South of France. We have a leisurely stop for some morning tea and a surprise awaits on route to Dijon. On arrival into Dijon this afternoon, the capital of Burgundy, one of the best preserved cities in France, architectural treats around every corner in the way only 1000 year old cities can. Rue de la Liberte is Dijon s main shopping street, with a dose of culture and history mixed in as well. Settle into your hotel room, where we will spend the next 3 nights. The afternoon is free for your leisure where you may wish to do some shopping or perhaps relax and enjoy a spa for some pampering located in our hotel. We will meet this evening and head to one of the best restaurants in Dijon for this evening s meal. Accomm: Dijon Meals: Breakfast / Morning Tea,/ a surprise inclusion / Dinner Day 4 Friday 8 th September Dijon This morning we travel through the Cote de Nuits and Cote de Beaune wine regions with our local tour guide to some renowned wine houses and family owned estates for private tastings of exceptional wines including Premier Cru and Grand Cru. After a delicious lunch in the idyllic setting of the French vineyards take a stroll and discover the local winegrowing practices and the history of Burgundy s wines. You will also visit a boutique winery for a private tasting in a traditional cellar, in a Pinot Noir lover s paradise, where you will also meet the winemaker. This evening we will enjoy some pre dinner drinks in a 15 th century building, one of the great wine bars in the area. Accomm: Dijon Meals: Breakfast / Lunch, / wine tasting / pre-dinner drinks

Day 5 Saturday 9 th September Dijon Our wine and food guide will take you on a very French experience this morning to the Les Halles produce markets where she will explain the varieties of local produce and we can make some purchases along the way, with a bottle of wine, and enjoy a picnic lunch in a beautiful setting nearby. You will also visit a moutarderie, and see how the famous mustard of Dijon is made. This afternoon we will discover some of the sites of Dijon, Musee des Beaux Arts located in the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy and Place Darcy where you will find Dijon s Arc de Triomphe encircled by charming centuries old buildings. This evening we will enjoy a stroll through Place de la Republique where many restaurants, wine bars and nightclubs are located and enjoy our last evening in beautiful Dijon. Accomm: Dijon Meals: Breakfast / Lunch Day 6 Sunday 10 th September Beaune / Lyon This morning we will also explore the pretty town of Beaune with it s cobblestone streets lined with excellent eateries and marvel at the beautiful medieval half-timbered houses. Beaune is the location for the largest wine auctions that take place each year. You will also have free time to stroll the streets lined with excellent eateries and marvel at the ancient architecture. From Beaune we travel further south and view charming, quaint villages before reaching Lyon, the gourmet capital of France, our base for the next 3 nights. A short stroll from our hotel, we can soak up the lively atmosphere this evening before we enjoy a Bouchon meal at one of Lyon s best family run restaurants. Accomm: Lyon Meals: Breakfast / Dinner Day 7 Monday 11 th September Lyon Our guide will take you for a sweet treat this morning where you will be amazed at the wall of liquid chocolate at Chokola where the master chocolatier creates his famous sweets. A leisurely stroll through Lyon, we will discover Place Bellecour where you have the opportunity to browse the boutique stores or if your into cuisine books, there is a very special store for you as well. A cable car will take us to the heights of The Basilica Notre Dame de Fourviere followed by a walk down to the medieval town this afternoon. Lyon has the reputation as one of the best places in France for food and wine, and our sommelier guide will select one of the best restaurants in Lyon that locals frequent and assist in your selection of wine to accompany your evening meal. Accomm: Lyon Meals: Breakfast Day 8 Tuesday 12 th September Pezenas

Leaving Lyon this morning we will drive through many vineyards and quaint villages where we will enjoy photo opportunities and soak up the beauty of this part of France. Arriving in Pezenas, noted as the prettiest small town in South of France, Pezenas is a joy to spend time in, walking it s ancient streets, the former home of Moliere, the French playwright and situated amongst some of the best vineyards in France. Our beautiful, very French, B&B in the heart of Pezenas will be our base for the next 2 nights. This evening we will enjoy a raid the pantry evening on the rooftop and enjoy more of the local wine. Accomm: Pezenas Meals: Breakfast / Raid the Pantry evening with wine Day 9 Wednesday 13 th September Pezenas Your time in Pezenas is free for you to walk the tiny cobblestone alleyways and explore the many shops or simply relax in a street side café to savour the sights and sounds of this beautiful village. Optional tours are available with a local tour company that Que Sera Tours can highly recommend; maybe a boat ride on the Canal du Midi or live music dinners (list of tours available upon booking this tour). Accomm: Pezenas Meals: Breakfast Day 10 Thursday 14 th September Carcassonne / Toulouse / Chateaux stay Today we visit the amazing walled city of Carcassonne a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the sheer scale of the castle at Carcassonne that blows you away. There is a full size village inside the walls of the castle which was established in the 11 th century. Explore this magical town and everything it has to offer, from the Bastide Saint-Louis to the medieval walls, Carcassonne offers a wealth of monuments to visit and explore. We continue our journey with a stop at Toulouse for lunch, where our guide will explain the history of this town and also maybe try the dish Toulouse is famous for. The excellent location of our Château is one of its strongest points situated right next to the world heritage site of St Emilion, the world renowned vineyards of Pomerol and a short drive to Bordeaux city, Lisbourne and the Atlantic coastline. The hillside setting of the Chateaux provides you with great views of the Dordogne as well as the surrounding working vineyards. Accomm: Private Chateaux Meals: Breakfast / Dinner

Day 11 Friday 15 th September Medoc wine regions / Saint Emilion This morning our private driver will take us into Medoc wine regions where we will visit famous chateaux s and taste wines from the Margaux region, an area so exclusive that wines are sold en primeur before even being bottled. We will also visit the beautiful Saint Emilion a little town of yellow limestone buildings and narrow streets with timber framed houses and home of the original macaroon. We will enjoy a traditional lunch today with the perfect wines to match your meal. Accomm: Private Chateau Meals: Breakfast / Lunch Day 12 Saturday 16 th September Bordeaux Today we visit Bordeaux, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site sitting proudly on the Garonne River. We will visit Monument aux Girondins, Cathedrale Saint-Andre, Place Royale and the Musee des Beaux Arts one of the largest art museums in France. You will have free time after lunch to enjoy some shopping or just meander the cobblestone streets and admire the architecture of Bordeaux. This evening our Sommelier has arranged something very special for you to enjoy and participate in, poolside this evening. Accomm: Private Chateaux Meals: Breakfast / Special treat Day 13 Sunday 17 th September Atlantic Coast Just a short drive from our Chateaux we arrive at the Atlantic Coast where huge sand dunes, large ocean breakers and some of Europe s finest unspoiled beaches await. The wealthy locals spend summers at the glamorous Cap Ferret dining at the some of the best seafood restaurants or surf at Lacanau where the biggest surf competition is held each year. You are free to stroll along the beach and absorb these breathtaking locations before we return to our glorious Chateaux for a farewell dinner this evening. Paris After breakfast we will make our journey back to Paris where our tour comes to an end. Drop off location will be Charles de Gaulle airport where we can say our farewells and Que Sera Tours hope you will return home with your eyes full of chateaux images and of beautiful vineyard landscapes, but also with an increased wine knowledge and a lot of pleasure in your taste buds! Travel Insurance Travel Insurance is not included in our tours. In the event of events beyond our control, including but not limited to war, civil disobedience, terrorism, insurrection, accident, explosion, sickness, fire, floods, severe weather, acts of God, acts of Government, you unconditionally release us from all liability. Accommodation Four and five star hotel accommodation along with B&B s, villas and chateaux accommodation (depending in which country tour takes place) is what we offer on every tour. Occupancy of a single room by choice can be considered but an extra surcharge is required otherwise the rooms are to be shared in majority of accommodation on tour. Meals As indicated in the itinerary. Baggage We recommend no more than 1medium suitcase (preferably with wheels & close to size of 73cm x 50cm x 25cm plus a large carry on handbag per person. Minimum Group Number Our tours are geared for small groups but are subject to a minimum number of participants as determined by us. If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the tour may be cancelled with all monies refunded. Not included We do not include international flights from Australia to our tour destination as we have found most people prefer to select their own airline and may be using our tour as an add on to their existing holiday. The tour price does not include beverages with meals (there are some set menus that a drink may be included). It is your responsibility to ensure settlement of any charges made by a hotel or provider of any service, for extra services ordered directly by you such as room service, mini bar, laundry, post, telephone charges, items of a personal nature or tips (hotels require validation of a credit card upon check in)

Travel Documents and Taxes It is your responsibility to ensure that your passport is current. All international passengers require a current passport with at least 6 months validity. We are not liable for any loss or expense due to a passenger s failure to have a valid passport. Cancellation conditions Cancellation of reservations must be provided to us in writing and are subject to the following; Cancellations received within 90 days of departure will incur a loss of 100% of total tour costs already paid, but at the decision of Que Sera Tours. Que Sera Tours are tour operators & not a travel agent we therefore cannot sell any international flight travel products departing from Australia and charge you for it. When you register for our tour you become part of the family and we ll gladly assist you in finding the best airfare etc., just let us know and we can share our travel knowledge with you.
