Wood procurement and biofuel a diverse partnership for wood trade Koskisen s wood procurement company is Koskitukki Oy. Koskitukki is known in its procurement area as a reliable purchaser of wood and producer of biofuel. Along with the wood supply to Koskisen s production mills Koskitukki is also responsible for biofuel deliveries to many power plants. Koskitukki also delivers raw materials to the chemical pulp and paper industry. In addition, Koskitukki offers its timber trade partners forest management services. We live off the forest 75 % of Finland s land area is forest. Yearly forest grows 104 mil. m 3 Total harvested per year is 65 mil. m 3 in Finland. Koskitukki s share is 1,9 mil. m 3 Koskisen refines 63 % of procured wood into wood products. The rest is sold as biofuel and raw material to the chemical pulp and paper industry. Forest sector employs 65 000 people in Finland. Koskisen employs over 1000 people.
