Mrs. Bell, AV Cato Elementary 1st Grade Teacher, presented her class' bulletin board (Flat not Fat) depicting generated 2- dimensional shape pictures. Students used Fotobabble to record their descriptions of their generated 2-dimensional shape picture of something they see in everyday life using academic language. The use of technology (Fotobabble) allowed the students to share, compare, and repair. The board also depicts the composing of a new shape by joining two or more 2- dimensional shapes. The teacher shared pictures with parents through the use of an app (Class Dojo) with class story. Mrs. Bell understands the need to connect the students learning with students everyday life and include the parents in their child's learning experiences.
