PILOTS BRIEFING AFW Fly-in 2012 Dear friends, please read carefully all instructions in this briefing. You will also receive this briefing by e-mail. If you do not, or have not been contacted by the organizing committee in any other way, inform us immediately at marina@aopa.gr or info@aopa.gr because in this case we did not receive your registration form. Marina Zompanaki AOPA Hellas Organizing Committee AFW Fly-in marina@aopa.gr Incoming Flight Plan In your flight plan with destination LGTT in the REMARKS section write: AFW 2012. Only aircrafts with prior permission, participating in the Fly-in or the airshow will be allowed to land at LGTT, all other flights to Tatoi are prohibited. Outgoing Flight Plan The departure Flight Plan must filed on your Arrival on Organizing Committee Tent - Planning Desk. Flights arriving from abroad All flights arriving from abroad must land in an airport of entry for customs and immigration control. Tatoi is a military airbase and cannot provide civilian services. Ground Handling For all aircrafts coming from abroad: All aircrafts with foreign registration arriving at an entry airport for customs and technical stop and then continuing directly to LGTT, will receive free handling from Olympic Handling. The same will apply on their return journey at the airport of exit for all flights arriving direct from LGTT. Inform us about your entry port, so that we can notify Olympic Handling in advance. For any other flight within Greece, regular handling fees apply. For all PIC holding a valid IAOPA crew card: AOPA Hellas has negotiated special handling prices with Swissport Handling and Goldair Handling. LGGG FIR En Route - General After leaving an airport area, you will be asked to contact the next TMA controller if near an airport, or Athinai Information 130,925 / 119,750 which tracks your flight.

Athens TMA Familiarize yourselves with the Athinai TMA routes, altitudes and reporting points. (Attached chart AD2-LGAV-VFR.pdf) Contact Athinai TMA Information 124.025 prior to entering the TMA. Follow VFR routes and altitudes within the Athinai TMA, unless permission for deviation (Course or Altitude) has been obtained by the Athinai TMA Information Controller. LGTT Airport Information and Restrictions Airport Operating Hours During the AFW the operating hours are as follows: Wednesday 26/09 : 09:00 to 19:00 Local Time Thursday 27/09: 09:00 to 19:00 Local Time Friday 28/09: 09:00 to 11:00 and 16:00 to 19:00 Local Time Saturday 29/09: 09:00 to 10:30 and 15:30 to 17:00 Local Time Sunday 30/09: 09:00 to 10:30 and 15:30 to 17:00 Local Time Monday 01/10: 09:00 to 19:00 Local Time Airshow Restrictions On Friday between 11:00 and 16:00 Local Time there will be trials for the airshow. Any incoming on schedule aircraft during these hours must obtain prior permission by Tatoi TWR and the airshow director. On Saturday and Sunday during the airshow no flights will be permitted near the airport and any flight approaching Tatoi will be directed to other airports. All days between 15:30 and 17:00 only flights from or to other airports are permitted. Local flights are prohibited due to noise reduction purposes. LGTT Entry/Exit Points ( VRPs) Inbound Traffic. Arriving From SOUTH/EAST All inbound traffic from South and East inside of Athens TMA must follow VFR routes and altitudes or any other instruction from the ATC ( Attached Chart AD2-LGAV- VFR.pdf). At the end of any VFR route join 2000 feet, east VRP ZOFRI (N38 4.668 E023 40.388) and contact Tatoi TWR on Freq 122.650 alternative 118.500 Suggested routes BADEL YDRA ABEAM YDRA POROS AIGINA or SOREV YDRA ABEAM YDRA POROS AIGINA and after AIGINA NDB Follow ATC Instructions. Arriving From NORTH/WEST All inbound traffic from North and WEST inside of Athens TMA must follow VFR routes and altitudes or any other instruction from the ATC. ( Attached chart AD2- LGAV-VFR.pdf). At the end of any VFR route join 2000 feet, east VRP LIMNI (Limni

FROM WEST KOR(NDB) ABLON MAX 6000 AND WAIT ATC INSTRUCTION TO ZOFRI OR LIMNI VRP s. Study Carefully chart AD2-LGAV-VFR.pdf and Area Chart.pdf Holding Points To facilitate incoming traffic Tatoi Tower (callsign TATOI TWR 122.650 or 118.500) has established two easily recognized holding points for the need of the Fly-in. Hold over VRP ZOFRI, 2500ft. to 4500 MAX as ATC instructed, you will reach it after crossing LGEL( Elefsis) area or as ATC instructed. VRP ZOFRI is about 5 miles SW of LGTT( Dekelia ), located in the recession between the two mountains. Hold over VRP LIMNI, 2000ft.to 3000 MAX after crossing ABLON VRP point, north/east of LGTT ( Dekelia ), recognize and hold over Marathon lake (VRP LIMNI), the only lake in the vicinity. Taxiing Unless otherwise instructed, continue on Tower frequency 122.650 and follow taxiing instructions. For the Fly-in taxi links will be called A, B, C and D starting from the beginning of runway 03 (see map LGTT APRON LAYOUT TAXILINKS Pdf). The crossroad of D and the taxiway, at the small square, is the Hand off Point, the Tower will hand you to the Follow Me car (see map APRON LAYOUT Pdf). HOP point will be marked with black and yellow signs. Follow the Follow Me car to the refuelling and parking area apron. The Follow Me car will direct you to your allocated parking space. Unless there is a problem, the Follow Me car will not contact you by radio. Refuelling Upon arrival, those who requested refuelling with AVGAS will proceed to the refuelling area. Refuelling with MOGAS will take place at the parking place. Inform us about the type and quantity of fuel you will require. Refueling will take place upon arrival of the aircraft. Please note that in order to refuel all passengers must disembark the aircraft. Note: All entry points, LGAV and LGMG Airports have JET A1 After refuel, follow the marshaller s instructions for your parking position. Fuel Prices AVGAS : Fix price of 2,95 euro per litre MOGAS : approximately 1,80 euro per litre JET A1 : Not Available Parking The airplanes will park at the parking apron F or apron X (see map APRON F pdf, map APRON X pdf ). A specific parking place will be assigned to every aircraft. Follow instructions. There will be available sacks with sand to tie the airplanes. Make sure you secure the aircrafts well, because during the night entrance is prohibited in the Tatoi airbase. The parking will be guarded by military personnel. Helicopter Parking Helicopters will be asked to airtaxi to their parking space in apron U (see map APRON-U pdf ). Helicopter parking is on the ground next to the taxiway facing the aircraft parking area. Documents Keep all your flight, aircraft and license document in your aircraft. HCAA personnel have the right to spot check. Accreditation / Registration Procedures Upon arrival Pilots and passengers will proceed for accreditation. Special vehicles will take you to the Organizing Committee Tent - Planning Desk. At your entry or exit from Tatoi Airport, as well as at the aircraft parking area, military security personnel have the right to check your accreditation cards and I.Ds. or passports.

Start-up Procedures Before starting your engine contact for start-up clearance from Tatoi TWR Freq: 122.650 118.500 Taxing Procedures Before starting taxi contact and get the taxi clearance from Tatoi TWR Freq: 122.650 118.500 After Takeoff Procedures After takeoff join ZOFRI VRP or LIMNI VRP depend from your destination conctact Athinai TMA Information of freq 124,025 and join Athinai TMA VRPs, VFR routes and Altitudes or as ATC Instructed. There will be a bus leaving from Tatoi for Athens centre, on Friday afternoon. Inform us about your arrival time and your hotel, so we can arrange the best way for your transport. On Saturday and Sunday there are buses scheduled in the morning from Athens Centre to Tatoi and buses in the afternoon from Tatoi to Athens centre. You will receive the time schedule upon arrival at Organizing Committee Tent.
