10 Page 10 of OUTBOUND TRAFFIC 2.1. GENERAL NOTES Check accurately your Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and Estimated Off Block Time (EOBT). Keep in mind that it takes about minutes to perform startup, pushback and taxi. So if you have an ETD at 10:15, you must start with push back and start operations at 10:00-10:05 approximately WHICH RUNWAY? OMDB: Normally the runway used for takeoff is 30R. This configuration is used till tailwind component up to 10kts with DRY rwy condition (max 5kts in WET/Contaminated rwy condition). OMSJ: Normally the runway used for takeoff is the active runway, most probably rwy 30. This configuration is used in coordination with OMDB, so the two airports are must be on the same configuration. OMDW: Normally the runway used for takeoff is the active runway, most probably rwy PUSHBACK OPERATIONS. During the request phase of pushback take care, in according to ground instructions, where you must rotate the aircraft. Here an example of ground instruction: Emirates xxx pushback and start-up approved, face to south-east. This is very important to avoid conflict during ground operations TAXIWAY OPERATIONS All ground operations are made to avoid conflicts among traffic, especially between inbound and outbound, so please follow ground and tower instructions.
