FLEX E3 3kWh Battery Energy Storage System for home applications Benefit from solar power even after sunset www.solar-inverter.com
Financial benefits 100% Home energy spending up to 45% Financial savings up to 65% Financial savings Electrical grid only Solar energy + Electrical grid Solar energy + FLEX 3kWh + El. grid The benefits of using renewable energy at home are widely known and greatly appreciated. Even though the electrical grid in most European countries is reliable, the cost of electricity is not always low. The FLEX E3 from Delta allows its owners to not only produce and simultaneously use solar and other renewable energy, it provides the freedom and flexibility of being able to store that energy and use it later. This simplifies the transactions between homes and electricity providers and allows for a significant decrease of the monthly spending on electricity.
Smart home energy management How does the FLEX E3 work? Delta s FLEX E3 is an advanced energy storage which uses intelligent technology to ensure optimum use of the harvested renewable energy. The system is compatible with all energy sources, such as solar panels, wind turbines, main electricity grid, etc. FLEX E3 works seamlessly and requires no human interference to operate. To illustrate the way it works, we are using an example with solar power: Morning rush As soon as the sun rises, the PV system starts producing energy. That energy is being distributed throughout the house. Any leftover unused energy at that time is sent to the FLEX E3 and stored for later needs. During the day During the day the energy consumption at home is usually significantly lower than that during rush hours. During this period the house uses solar energy, but is likely to produce more than what it needs. These large amounts of unused solar energy are stored in FLEX E3. Early morning Once the FLEX E3 discharge capacity is reached, the house starts receiving the power it needs from the main grid. This is an automatic process and does not require any intervention. Night During the night FLEX E3 will supply the needed energy until it s discharge limit is reached, at which point it will automatically redirect the power feed towards the main electricity grid. Afternoon When the family gets back home, the energy use increases. Around this time, however, the sun sets. Right until sunset your PV system will produce and feed solar energy for your home s needs. And when the sun sets, you can continue using free solar energy - at that point FLEX E3 will replace the direct feed from your PV panels and you will have uninterrupted green and free energy feed. Evening Evenings usually demand larger amounts of power. The FLEX E3 systems can store as much as 3kWh power, which is enough to power an average home for most of the afternoon and night. Due to the modular design of Delta s FLEX E3, additional 3kWh can be added at any time.
Overview Versatile applications Intelligent controller has programmable settings that allow solar energy to be stored optimally when it is available Features integrated lead-acid or Li-ion batteries. Standard battery capacity is 60Ah for one FLEX E3 Fully compatible with SOLIVIA Monitor allowing remote monitoring of the system over the Internet Can be integrated with an existing smart home automation system Maximum profitability System controller has a scheduling feature that allows the user to consume self-generated solar energy when the electricity rates are high or when it is needed most such as in the evenings When more energy is stored than is needed, a system function allows the stored energy to be sold back to the grid. For home use Remote monitoring For new systems For pre-existing systems Compatible with PV panels Compatible with wind turbines Compatible with mains grid Remote monitoring: SOLIVIA Monitor The FLEX E3 can be easily added to the SOLIVIA monitoring application to allow for easy overview of all values and statistics on produced, stored and used energy. SOLIVIA Monitor is a turn-key monitoring system suitable for monitoring one or more PV and FLEX E3 systems, which ensures reliable operation and a maximum return on your investment. With its user-friendly Internet application, which provides a quick overview of the most important values, the yield and the system status, the SOLIVIA Monitor is ideal for monitoring every PV installation with SOLIVIA String Inverters.
