Chevron s Horizons Graduate Program Following the completion of your degree, we hope you consider a long term career with Chevron. The nature and scope of our interests in Australia requires talented, committed individuals from a wide range of academic degrees. Graduates and early career professionals who graduated less than five years ago are encouraged to apply for Chevron s Horizons Graduate Program. Potential roles include the following: Environmental graduate Environmental graduates will work on environmental impact assessments, environmental monitoring and site remediation field support. You will help to ensure that we protect the safety and health of our people, the quality of the environment in our operations and the communities in which they are located. Health and Safety Graduate A career beginning as a health and safety graduate offers the opportunity to protect the safety and health of our people and facilities by working in two key areas - safety and occupational health/industrial hygiene. Safety Advisors focus on risk management, process safety, contractor safety, behaviour based safety, management systems and field support. Supply Chain Management Graduate Supply Chain Management in the oil and gas industry relates to the strategic acquisition, distribution and management of products and services required to successfully support projects and day-to-day operations. You ll provide support in the areas of logistics, procurement and contracts, and purchase for operations and/or major capital projects. Earth Science Graduate - Geologist or Geophysicist Working for Chevron Australia you will use advanced geological and geophysical tools and cutting edge technology to find, evaluate, and develop gas and oil resources. You will work on some of the largest natural gas projects in Australia s history such as Gorgon and Wheatstone. Occupational Health/Industrial Hygiene Advisors look after office-based safety, wellness and industrial hygiene monitoring. Information Systems (IS) Graduate Chevron Australia s IS team provide the innovative delivery of reliable applications, information and systems. In this role, you ll gain experience in areas such as business analysis, project management, technical computing, information/data management and application support. 6 Join the Challenge

Drilling and Completions Engineering Graduate Drilling and Completion Engineers design, plan and execute land, offshore and deepwater wells, consisting of exploration, appraisal and development programs. You may undertake an assignment to be part of the Chevron onsite team responsible for directing day-to-day drilling, completion, workover and intervention operations. Many of our graduates are working on rotational schedules to drilling rigs off the northwest coast of Western Australia and on Barrow Island. Facilities Engineering Graduate As a Facilities Engineer, you will play a critical role in the management of Chevron Australia s operating assets and capital projects. Tasks include managing projects, such as the installation of oil, gas and water production, separation and injection facilities, working with tanks, vessels, compressors, pumps, piping, power distribution and computer controls. In addition you will be assisting operations personnel in reviewing existing facilities to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Petroleum Engineering Graduate Petroleum Engineers will typically have the opportunity to undertake both reservoir and production engineering assignments while on the Horizons program. Production Engineers monitor and evaluate production of wells, design and execute workovers, and optimise production equipment. Reservoir Engineers develop and apply reservoir optimisation techniques, carry out simulation studies, and predict reserves and performance. Process Engineering Graduate Process Engineers can join Chevron to work in either the Energy Technology Company (ETC) or the Facilities Engineering (FE) team. As a member of ETC you will provide innovative and specialist expertise in flow assurance or gas and LNG processing to business units within the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Thailand. The FE team provides support to all facets of operations for the Australian based facilities of Gorgon and Wheatstone. Currently these projects are being supported in the construction phase, but once started-up and in steady state operations, typical duties will include performance monitoring, trouble-shooting and optimisation. Other Opportunities for University Students Horizons Graduate Program Students from this year s Vacation Employment Program who perform above expectations may be considered for a position with Chevron s graduate program, where roles are available. Chevron s Horizons Graduate Program emphasises the importance of on-the-job learning with a focus on the first five years of your career. The program aims to achieve accelerated technical competency for recent university graduates or graduates with less than five years professional experience. As a Chevron Horizons graduate, you will develop through technical training, assignments and mentoring as you rotate through at least three different real job roles, each critical to developing your skills and progressing your career. Applications are invited from candidates who will complete their degree in 2015 or early career professionals who graduated less than five years ago. Aboriginal Cadetships Chevron is proud to be part of the national Indigenous Cadetship Support (ICS) project, an Australian Government initiative that enhances the professional employment prospects of Australian Aboriginals enrolled in an undergraduate degree. Chevron s Aboriginal cadetship program provides Aboriginal university students with financial assistance during their studies and paid work experience during their summer breaks. Individuals who are identified, recognised and accepted as Aboriginal Australians or Torres Strait Islanders and who are studying towards their first undergraduate degree at an Australian tertiary educational institution are eligible to apply.
