1 Top Ten Jobs Program Entry Prerequisites July 10, 2015 Statistics provided represent the percentage of students who entered grade 8 in 2007/2008 (class of 2013 students who may graduate with a dogwood within six years of entering grade 8) that have completed the necessary program admission requirements. Student achievement data was provided by the Analysis and Reporting Unit of the BC Ministry of Education. Program admission requirements vary widely across institutions. Where available, Industry Training Authority (ITA) recommendations were used. Where this was not possible, public post-secondary institution programs were used as samples. Given the variety of post-secondary and training pathways that students can follow, these requirements and the related statistics should be used to establish a general picture of how many secondary school students would be eligible for a particular program, rather than exact figures.
