ONLINE APPLICATION TIPS Before you begin your online application: Print unofficial transcripts for all colleges attended Will need dates of attendance for each campus Will need course completion information for CSU general education requirements "golden-4" Will need to calculate cumulative and individual campus GPA
ONLINE APPLICATION TIPS CALCULATING YOUR GPA View your unofficial transcripts for each college you attended Scroll all the way down to: Cumulative GPA without NDA Units Attempted (UA) Units Completed (UC) Grade Points (GP) Transferability (TR): NDA, CS, SU, or blank LET S PRACTICE CALCULATING THE GPA FOR THIS SAMPLE STUDENT
ONLINE APPLICATION TIPS Calculating Individual Campus GPA: Delete any points from UA, UC, and GP for non-transferrable courses that have a blank in column #4 (don t have CS or SU) Divide GP by UA = GPA Calculating all transferrable undergraduate college GPA : Add Grade Points (GP) for all colleges: after removing nontransferrable courses Add Units Attempted (UA) for all colleges: after removing nontransferrable courses Divide total GP by total UA for all colleges = GPA Do not average GPA s for multiple campuses (could give you an incorrect GPA) GPA = Grade Points (GP) Units Attempted (UA)
