Secure E-mail Using Cisco Secure E-mail Server Background The UnitedHealthcare secure e-mail system is offered through Cisco Secure Server and is used to securely exchange information with providers. This document describes the step-by-step instructions for using the UnitedHealth Group s Cisco secure e-mail to: Register and receive secured e-mails. page 2 Open Cisco secure e-mail...page 5 Create a new Cisco secure e-mail. page 8 Save a Cisco secure e-mail to your computer..page 11 Manage your Cisco profile....page 13 Retreive/forgot password page 14 Assistance If at any time you need assistance with registration on the Cisco system, please contact the UnitedHealthcare Support Center at 888-848-3375. Instructions Register for Receiving Secured E-mails Step 1. Receive the first secure e- mail message in your e-mail system (i.e., AOL, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.) and open the attachment. (Note: If you do not have the sender in your address book, the e-mail may appear in your spam or junk folder.) AOL: You may be presented with several additional steps depending upon which e-mail system you are using. Gmail: Outlook: UHC0536g_101210 Page 2 of 14

1. Receive the first secure e- mail message in your e-mail system (i.e., AOL, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.) and open the attachment. (Continued) Yahoo: 2. Complete all of the fields and click the Register button. (Note: Be sure to remember your password and keep it safe.) For ease of use, we recommend using the same password created with the CRES system. 3. You will receive an account activation notice that points you to your e-mail inbox. 4. Upon receipt of the activation email in your email account, Click here to activate this account link. You may notice the e-mail is titled Please activate your account with CRES ; however you are activating your account with Cisco as noted in the first paragraph in this e-mail. 5. Receive an account activation confirmation. You will now move back to your e-mail inbox, open the original e- mail and open the attachment. You will now be asked to enter your password. 3. Review the e-mail. (Note: If you need to send a communication about the e-mail you received, follow the directions for creating an e-mail.) 4. Click Logout in the upper right corner when you are finished using the system. UHC0536g_101210 Page 7 of 14

Create a Secured E-mail Step 1. Visit: https://res.cisco.com/websafe/. Enter your email address and password, and click Login. (Note: If you are the only user of the computer, you can select Remember Me to have the system remember your email and password for faster processing time in the future.) If you forget your password, use the Forgot Password? option on this screen. (Note: Three failed attempts guessing your password will lock your account. If you do lock your account, it will automatically unlock after 24 hours. For faster resolution, call the Cisco Helpdesk (866-412-6113) (Note: Add the site as a favorite site/bookmark it for future use by selecting Favorite and then Add to Favorites ) UHC0536g_101210 Page 8 of 14

Note: Keep the naming convention of the site or change it to another name that you can easily recognize and click OK. 2. Compose your e-mail. Enter the e-mail address (ccr@uhc.com), enter the SRN number, and write your message. (Note: You can also select automatically BCC me on this e-mail to receive a copy of the e-mail you are sending.) Add an attachment(s) if needed by clicking on the Attachments button, clicking Browse, finding the file(s) from your personal computer, clicking Add and clicking Done. UHC0536g_101210 Page 9 of 14

3. Compose your e-mail. (Continued) Note: The maximum message size, including all attachments must be 10MB. You can check the file size of your documents before you attach by selecting the document and holding the mouse over your selection. In the event you have larger files, you can reduce their size by: Compressing/zipping the file(s). Sending multiple e-mails with the same SRN in the subject line and a note that this is one of multiple messages. Upon completion of the message, click the Send button. UHC0536g_101210 Page 10 of 14

4. Receive an e-mail indicating that your message has been received by CCR@uhc.com. 5. Click Logout in the upper right corner when you are finished using the system. Save a Secured E-mail Step 1. With the e-mail open in your e-mail system (i.e., AOL, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.), open the attachment. (Note: If you do not have the sender in your address book, the e-mail may appear in your spam or junk folder.) UHC0536g_101210 Page 11 of 14

2. Choose File and then Save As. 3. Select the location for the file to reside, name it, choose the type (either Text or HTML), and click Save. 4. Click Logout in the upper right corner when you are finished using the system. UHC0536g_101210 Page 12 of 14

Manage Profile Step 1. Visit the secure e-mail site at: https://res.cisco.com/websafe/ Log into the system by entering your e-mail address and password, and click the Login button. (Note: If you are the only user of the computer, you can click on Remember Me to have the system remember your password for faster processing time.) 2. Select Edit Profile and change your profile information, as needed. (Note: You can also select BCC me on the messages that I send in your profile to automatically receive it each time versus individually selecting it for each message.) (Note: you can change your password through the profile function.) 3. Click Logout in the upper right corner when you are finished using the system. UHC0536g_101210 Page 13 of 14

Retrieve/Forgot Password Step 1. Visit: https://res.cisco.com/websafe/. Click Forgot password. 2. Enter your email address and click Confirm. An e-mail will be sent to your inbox explaining how you to reset your password. UHC0536g_101210 Page 14 of 14
