PREVENTION WALK OCTOBER 4, 2015 One mile accessible walk through the center of Stockton s beautiful campus, focusing on remembrance, support, and prevention. All are welcome, this is a free event open to the community. The walk will end with a pledge to prevent suicide, an open mic to share experiences, and community speakers. Participants are encouraged to bring photos, names, mementos, of people who completed suicide to place on our remembrance wall at the beginning of the walk. MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID, AN INTRO THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8 CAMPUS CENTER MEETING ROOM 5 4:30 p.m. 6 p.m. This course teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness, provide support, deescalate crisis, and if appropriate, refer individuals to services.
