Important The Rx Recon is a fully automated distilled water dispenser that serves to reconstitute antibiotics. To ensure that you will enjoy many years of trouble free operation, we have developed this Users Guide. It contains information on how to operate and maintain your dispenser properly and safely. Please read the entire manual carefully before attempting to use the Rx Recon for the first time. CAUTION Only use distilled water. The Rx Recon unit has been designed for distilled water exclusively. Always keep the cap on the reservoir and a clean air vent filter in the air vent opening to avoid water contamination and a malfunction of the delivery mechanism. The reservoir must be free of dust particles and fibers. Always empty and unplug the unit before attempting to move the Rx Recon. Always replenish the water reservoir with special care to avoid spilling distilled water within the unit. Failure to do so could result in damaging the unit components. Clean the unit reservoir and the flow-thru cylinder every month. HELP If you ever have a question concerning your Rx Recon or if you need service, feel free to call: P.O. Follow the directions under To Clean. Also note that this procedure should be completed on a monthly basis once the unit is put into operation. Pre-setting Once the unit has been rinsed and cleaned it is ready to be put into functional operation. You must insert a clean air venting filter into the unit, fill the reservoir with distilled water, purge the supply line, and calibrate the unit. Clean Air Venting Filters Clean air venting filters are provided with the unit. They filter the air being drawn into the device, allowing only clean air to enter the system during use. A clean air venting filter should be inserted into the air vent opening prior to using the device. See page 9 for instructions. 8 Call Free: 1 800 848 1633 or 1 888 HCL INTL (425 4685) Fax Free: 1 800 447 2923
