AIM OF THE PROGRAMME WHAT IS THE AUSTELL GRADUATE RECRUITMENT PROGRAMME? In order to sustain the phenomenal growth we are experiencing, Austell Pharmaceuticals is embarking on a drive to search for appropriately qualified and talented individuals who would like to develop a rewarding career within a fast-paced, dynamic and rapidly growing pharmaceutical company. Austell seeks to empower graduates through an intensive learning and development programme, geared towards shaping lucrative careers for qualified individuals as Medical Representatives. We are committed to investing in young South African graduates in the context of the current economic environment, and the high unemployment rates associated with the youth in South Africa. WHAT IS THE PROCESS? The programme will take the form of a phased approach. Candidates will receive an invitation to an introduction and screening session. Successful candidates from this session will be invited to a one week short-list phase whereupon those who qualify will be invited to attend a national training workshop. Candidates who qualify through this final assessment phase will be offered permanent employment within the Austell family. WHY THE GRADUATE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME? FAQs DO I QUALIFY? Suitable candidates will have a BSc degree and/or relevant medical degree e.g. Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Biokinetics etc. Additional criteria: Must be a South African citizen or permanent resident. Must be prepared to travel in your region. Must have a valid driver's licence. WILL I BE FINANCIALLY COMPENSATED DURING THE ASSESSMENT AND WORKSHOP PHASES? You will be compensated during phase 4 & 5. See Programme Outline. WILL I RECEIVE ONGOING SUPPORT? Regional Sales Coaches ensure that graduates receive appropriate coaching, guidance and exposure in order to achieve required development objectives. Austell Executives also take a keen and often personal interest in the progress of our graduates. WHAT HAPPENS ONCE I AM APPOINTED INTO A PERMANENT POSITION? You will be contractually employed and will receive a comprehensive market related salary and employee benefits. Your development within Austell Pharmaceuticals will be monitored throughout your career by our executive team. Ongoing training and guidance required to enable you to become a professional Medical Representative will be provided. Candidates who display exceptional performance and potential will be considered for further development in line with the Austell Career Development Programme. PROGRAMME OUTLINE OK, SO HOW DOES THE SELECTION/APPLICATION PROCESS WORK? Phase 1 - Send your CV to: nelktan@austell.co.za with the subject line: Application for Graduate Recruitment Programme. In the body of the mail, please indicate your preferred region or province. Phase 2 - Your CV will be assessed and if successful, you will be invited by email to an Austell screening session or panel interview in your region. Phase 3 - Should you be shortlisted, you will be invited by email to attend an assessment and practical round at a venue in your region viz Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Bloemfontein and Port Elizabeth. Phase 4 (remunerated) - Shortlisted candidates will be invited by email to attend a five day workshop which will entail an array of soft skills training and assessment criteria. Phase 5 (remunerated) - Successful candidates from phase 4 will be invited by email to attend two weeks of technical training in Johannesburg, after which, there will be a final selection process.
