Prologue Dear colleagues, dear friends, it is our great honor to invite you warmly after two years to attend scientific conference, organized by our treatment center, along with the society of hyperbaric and aviation medicine, in collaboration with the Medical Faculty of the University of Ostrava and partner scientific societies of the neighboring countries. We continue the tradition of the Ostrava s Days of Hyperbaric Medicine conference and we would like to continue to enjoy our excellent relations with our foreign colleagues and to further expand cooperation in our common European region. This conference is intended primarily to professionals of our medical field- personnel of the treatment hyperbaric centers, medical personnel assessing eligibility for sport and professional diving, general practitioners, staff of aviation medicine and doctors assessing fitness to fly. Colleagues from other medical disciplines, both internal and surgical, are also invited, as well as professional staff providing care for non healing wounds, forensic medicine experts, department of occupational diseases etc. We are also pleased to invite interested professional divers from the military, police, fire and other emergency or rescue services. The place of the conference was chosen Hukvaldy, picturesque village, situated in the foothills of Beskydy mountains range, at the base of the Palkovice s Hills and picturesque valley of Ondřejnice. Hukvaldy are primarily known as the birthplace of world music composer Leoš Janáček (1854-1928). They are part of the Lachian Beskydy gate, a small tourist resort situated on the north-east of Moravia, which creates an imaginary gateway to Beskydy. Lachian Gate includes the towns of Kopřivnice (the home of the Tatra car and truck factory), Štramberk (known as the Moravian Bethlehem ), Příbor (Sigmund Freud s birthplace and one of the most historic towns in this part of north-eastern Moravia), and Hukvaldy as well. We hope that the forthcoming symposium will enrich you not only professionally, but that in this beautiful environment you pick up a lot of fresh forces into other work. Informations for presenting authors Instructions for creating and sending of abstracts: Please write abstracts atord, formate A4, Font Times New Roman 11. In a head of document please indicate title of presentation, name of authors (presenting author to be underlined), name and address of institution. The fulltext is preferable including tables and graphs and list of literature. Abstracts are limited-maximal range of 5, minimal range of 1 page.
