ABOUT THE PROJECT This is a youth exchange project that will be organized Uludağ University Orienteering Community held in Bursa, Turkey. Project Summary With the help of orienteering sport, to create an environment for socialization among the youth from different countries To recognize the historical and touristic atmosphere of Bursa, To raise environmental awareness among the youth To recognize the culture of Turkey through orienteering sport.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES Main objectives of the project are: Make orienteering sport common among young people Raise awareness about sport and make contribution to their lives in a healthy way Make young people get to know different cultures by interacting and doing sport Participant Profile 30 young people from 5 different countries (5+1 leader aged 18-25. There is no limit for the leader s age.) Please send 3 female and 3 male participants. Please send us the participants names and communication information.

Venue of Activity The project will be held in Bursa. The accommodation place will be Holiday Inn Hotel.You can see the hotel on the link below: https://www.holidayinnbursa.com/index.php?dil=en Pharmacies, shops, bars and restaurants, are reachable by foot, approximately 5 to 25 minutes walking.
There are 2 Airport in İstanbul: 1. Atatürk Airport (IST) 2. Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) TRAVELING TO BURSA 1.a. Follow the instructions to arrive to Bursa from Ataturk Airport(IST): 1) Buy your tickets to Ataturk Airport 2) Get into M1 subway line. 3) Get off at Zeytinburnu station and get into T1 subway line. 4) Get off the subway at the last station of T1. Opposite of the station you will see Budo seaport. 5) You can come to Bursa by ferry. ( 100 mins ). Ferry ticket is 20. 1.b. Follow the instructions to arrive to Bursa from Ataturk Airport(IST): From Istanbul Ataturk Airport, you need to take the metro (Which is located within the airport) to Otogar (Coach Station). There is only one Metro line departing from the airport. It takes about 20 minutes to go to Coach Station. 2.Follow the instructions to arrive to Bursa from Sabiha Gökçen Airport(SAW): 1) Buy your tickets to Sabiha Gökçen Airport 2) There are buses for Bursa at the airport exit (Akmis Seyahat, Metro Turism, ) You will reach Bursa Terminal. (90 min) 3) When you reach the Terminal You can arrive in HOLIDAY INN HOTEL by 93 bus
REAMBURSEMENT Travel costs of the participants will be reimbursed by bank transfer after the project, based on the travel distance per participant in accordance to the new rules of the Erasmus+ Programme. These are very important documents and make sure that you don t loose them. We will collect all your documents during the project. Turkish Currency and Exchange The Turkish Currency is the Turkish Lira (TL or TRY) and today s Exchange rate with regards to euro is: 1 Euro = 3,18 TL However, keep in mind that the exchange rate changes daily! We suggest that you don t change all your money at the airport as they usually take high commission. Turkish lira
Notes: 1. You will be sharing room(s) with another person(s) of the same sex in mixed national groups. We advise you to bring your own suitcase as you will not be sharing rooms with your friends/colleagues from the same country. 2. Please note that organisers will not provide any additional accommodation for your stay in Turkey outside the project dates. Those of you willing to arrive few days earlier or depart few days later should inform us and we will assist you in booking a hotel or hostel in Turkey.

Uludağ University General Information The aim of Uludağ University is to bring up contemporary students who identify themselves with the cultural and historical values of the country by being respectable to the national values, have a high personal responsibility, and free thought on the contemporary, secular, and democratic way led by reason and science, and drawn by Atatürk. Uludağ University, established in 1975 under the name of Bursa University and took its current name in 1982, has been successfully continuing its educational services ever since with its 13 faculties, 2 schools, 15 vocational schools, 1 conservatory, 4 institutes, 21 applied research centers and 5 departments under rectorate. Apart from these units; there are also Faculty of Dentistry and Gemlik Necati Kurtuluş School of Maritime founded by law but not functioning currently.

We kindly ask all participants to take the most environmentally friendly and cost effective alternative available. 1) Note: Reimbursement of travel costs will only be done upon presentation of all (including return tickets) original tickets, receipt/invoices and boarding passes. This means that once home after the project, participants will be asked to send the originals of all return documents and boarding passes. Please remember to bring the original invoices there will be no reimbursement without the original invoices and tickets with indicated Names of travellers, description of the journey, indication of cost and currency and date of travel. 2) Note: Tickets/invoices in languages other than English have to be translated by participants (key info only: date, venue, route, issuing agent etc). 3) Note: Reimbursement will be done in EUR, regardless of the currency indicated on the ticket and receipt/invoice (UK participants excluded). Any tickets purchased in a local currency other than EUR, will then be converted and calculated according to the exchange rate of the month when the grant agreement for this project will be signed by the NA, as stated in the official European Commission web-site at http://ec.europa.eu/budget/inforeuro/index.cfm?language=en 4) Note: Local transportation in city will be arranged by the organizers. 5) Note: Please check the travel budget limits. If travel costs exceed the budget limit, please contact the organisers for approval BEFORE purchasing. Participants are strongly advised to book trip travel well in advance to keep costs within the budget limits. We would like to warn you that we would not be able to refund any of your trips outside of the direct route from your home city to the venue of the course 6) Note: Please send copies (scans) of all tickets and invoices and email them to E-MAIL before attending the training. This will be very helpful to organisers to begin processing the financial and reimbursement data so that all payments may be made as efficiently as possible.
