March 2012 Because sustainability matters

Our aim is to be the leading global plastics recycling company in the production of post-consumer recycled resins recovered from highly complex resource streams, operating the most advanced plastics recycling plants in the world. Nigel Hunton, CEO March 2012 2

We are the global leader at producing sustainably mined plastics from end-of-life durable goods We have an annual processing capacity of 175,000 tons plants in China, Austria and the UK been recognized with numerous prestigious international awards We save 80-90% energy and 1-3 tons CO 2 for every ton produced vs. virgin plastic March 2012 3

We are a truly global clean-tech business Our state-of-the-art plants in China and Austria focus on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). At the end of 2010, we opened the most advanced plastics recycling facility in the world in Worksop, UK, producing post- consumer plastics from automotive shredder residue. We are backed by a list of blue chip investors including Ambienta, Balderton Capital and Doughty Hanson. Richmond, Kematen/Ybbs, Guangzhou, California Austria China Worksop, UK March 2012 4

We are addressing the challenges of the plastics industry Dwindling sources Complex processes Supply risks Competitive uses Challenging materials Lack of sustainability Growing costs Extreme volatility Unpredictable supply High capital costs High operating costs Difficult permitting Extreme volatility Unpredictable supply March 2012 6

We re enabling sustainable production of postconsumer resins Growing supplies Mechanical processing Sustainable products Sustainable and not tied to oil Economic and environmentally sound Lower capital costs 80-90% less energy Proprietary mechanical separation Saves 1-3 tons CO2 per ton of plastic Closing the loop March 2012 7

Our strategic focus Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR) ASR is the non-metallic fraction of the feed material removed by the metal recyclers shredding process. European Directive on End-of-Life Vehicles The aim of this Directive is to increase the rate of re-use and recycling to a minimum of 85% by 2015. The recovery of plastics from ASR is the most significant factor in helping to achieve this target. March 2012 8

Our strategic focus Electronic Shredder Residue (ESR) from e-waste The European directive Waste of Electrical l and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) sets targets for collection, recycling and recovery of all types of electrical wastes of which plastics are a major constituent WEEE Shredded WEEE ESR March 2012 9

Urban mining a simplified process overview Styrenics purification (cleaning-sorting ABS & HIPS) Formulation, blending & compounding Feed materials into process, size reduction Polyolefin purification (cleaning-sorting g PP and PE) Remove nonplastics (metal, rubber, wood, glass, fluff, foam, textiles, dirt, etc.) Washing and preparation (clean plastics & remove non-target plastics) Quality assurance, certification and packaging March 2012 10
