Opening Ceremony / Ribbon Cutting VIP Tour "With a high export figure, which exceeded 20 billion USD in 2015, automotive industry is one of the most important industries of Turkey, and Automechanika Istanbul gives the opportunity to the companies which would like to expand into new markets. Automechanika Istanbul once more showed that the right projects have always the power to get people together. Under the Automechanika Istanbul brand, exhibitors from 34 countries came together and the leading international position of the event in the automotive industry was proved." said Alexander Kühnel, General Manager of Hannover Fairs Turkey. 8

Support of Ministry of Economy The B2B event attracted considerable attention of visitors especially from Europe, Middle East, North Africa and CIS countries. During the four days 42,781 visitors were hosted. Moreover, with the support of Ministry of Economy and Automotive Exporters Union, buyer delegations from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Moldova, Serbia, Spain, Tunisia came to the fair and developed new business relations. Also, in scope of Anatolian Programme, 75 delegations were hosted. 9

Automechanika Academy Automechanika Istanbul also focused on the future of the industry with Automechanika Academy, one of the most important conferences in the automotive industry. With the support of OYPG, seminars were organized with the themes of the Automotive Aftermarket from the Perspective of Fleet Leasing Industry and An European View on Turkish Aftermarket. Also, TAISAD organized the Equivalent Spare Part Certification Seminar. In addition, Automechanika Academy offered various presentations, workshops and special displays organized by associations and universities. 11

Classic Racing Cars Displayed at Hall 11 throughout the exhibition, the classic racing cars were a centre of attraction. 6 classic racing cars namely 1972 model Porsche 911 RS, 1976 model Opel Kadett GTE, 1985 model Renault 5 Turbo and 1966 model Alfa Romeo 1600 GT were displayed for four days. Besides these automobiles, the first local sports car, Anadol STC, and the winner of World Rally Championship, FIAT 131 Abarth were exhibited at Hall 11 as well. 12

A Motorsport Legend Automechanika Istanbul marked a first. The four-day exhibition featured an event at Hall 14, where a BMW E 30 M3 which has a remarkable motorsport history automobile assembled live by ES Garage. This live performance was an enjoyable experience for motorsport fans as well as drawing the attention of motoring enthusiasts. 13

Made in Turkey VOLKICAR, the first Turkish racing car, was presented at Hall 10. 14

Simulators State-of-the-art simulators were on display at Automechanika Istanbul. In addition to the Formula 1 simulator, an airplane simulator with 360-degree of movement capability was. Visitors looking for a break after busy meetings to pass some exciting moments having great time thanks to the simulators. 15

Automotive Art Masters of different arts, such as illustration, graffiti and model-making, exhibited their skills for the visitors at Automechanika Istanbul as well. Painting and illustration artist Osman Arık showed its works at Hall 10. Also, during his 4-day live performance, he portrayed an exhibited car on his canvas. 16

Commercial Vehicles in Scale Models created as handicraft work by Mr.İsmail Erzurumluoğlu and were showcased at Automechanika Istanbul. 1:10 scale truck, tanker and bus models assemblied by Güner Model Industry was at Hall 3 and attracted a lot attention from both visitors & exhibitors. 17

Graffiti Street Art Automechanika Istanbul also featured a custom made street art graffiti example. Visitors of Automechanika Istanbul found a chance to see what automobile parts look like from the eyes of a street artist and watch the Automechanika Graffiti revive in real-time. 18
