9 Steinbeis Foundation Founded in 1971 as a non-profit foundation for Economic Development and Technology Transfer The Steinbeis Foundation is the umbrella organization of the Steinbeis Transfer Network There were 978 enterprises in the transfer network in (568 Units in Baden-Württemberg Over 6,000 members of staff, most of them part time (Professors, Assistants, Students) Steinbeis - University in Berlin 9

13 Objectives...The main objective of the project is the implementation of Danube Transfer Centres (DTCs). The latter will demonstrate how international cooperation, knowledge and technology transfer can be conducted in the best way.. 13

20 Project Funding Short Description Status DTC Initiative Steinbeis State of Baden- Wuerttemberg, Germany The objective of the pilot initiative was to foster the competitiveness of the Danubian industry. The following DTCs could be created during this project: DTC Cluj-Napoca, DTC Nitra, DTC Bratislava, and DTC Novi Sad. NoGAP FP7 - EU NoGAP aims at strengthening economic ties between Europe and EaP countries and wishes to establish guidelines for creating future TTCs in Minsk, Tbilisi, and Kiev. running Danube- INCO.Net FP7 - EU Within the context of this project, SEZ develops a concept for DTCs including a tool-kit on DTC creation and implementation. Good practices developed will be documented and shared widely. They will be concretely implemented in the cases of DTC Novi Sad, DTC Ruse, and DTC Vukovar. DanubePIE CIP - EU DanubePIE supports SMEs through eco-design related technical services. University of Novi Sad participates in this project. ICT Horizon EU The topic of this call is Smart Cyber-Physical Systems. Technical University of Bucharest intends to finance its DTC with the help of this project SC Horizon EU This call on Consolidating global knowledge on the green economy might allow the funding of a DTC in Hungary - in cooperation with the consortium partner Bay Zoltán - as well as the creation of a TTC in Armenia as the Center of Ideas and Technologies is particularly interested. planned 20
