1 ISAF 2012 WAS AGAIN OUTSTANDING WITH 5 TOPICS AND 5 TITLES September 20-23, 2012 ISAF 2012 Exhibitions that were held from September 20, 2012 to September 23, 2012 consisted of the following: - ISAF SECURITY (16. International Security Systems, Services Equipment) - ISAF FIRE (16. International Fire, Emergency, Search & Rescue) - ISAF SAFETY-HEALTH (1. Occupational Safety and Occupational Health) - ISAF IT SECURITY (1. Information, Data and Network Security) - ISAF SMART HOUSES (1. Smart Buildings and Building Automation) ISAF Exhibitions that consisted of 5 Exhibitions this year was held from September 20, 2012 to September 23, 2012 for the 16 th time at the Istanbul Exhibition Center. With its outstanding growth of %63, ISAF Exhibition opened for the use of its participants the 11 th hall in addition to the 9 th and 10 th halls. Increasing its gross area which was m 2 last year to m 2 this year, ISAF enjoyed the excitement of bringing together the latest products of the sector with the visitors. It also achieved a 2% increase in the number of visitors professionals from 41 countries visited the Exhibition in 4 days. Remarkable speakers gave presentations about their expertise fields during ISAF 2012 Exhibition which was applauded by visitors for the activities held in Kapadokya Hall and Pamukkale Hall at the Istanbul Exhibition Center. Such important institutions and associations as the Police Academy, Labor and Social Security Training Center (ÇASGEM), Ministry of Labor and Social Security, ASİS Turkiye, Association of Occupational Safety Management Expertise, Private Investigators Association, Association of Lightning Protection and Grounding (YILKODER), Search & Rescue Association AKUT and National Emergency and Search & Rescue Association informed their participants and visitors during the activities held throughout the Exhibition. In addition to the domestic participants, important companies that participated in ISAF 2012 from such countries as UK, Canada, China, Taiwan, Germany, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, South Korea, India, Italy, Spain, Iran, Lebanon, Peru, Poland, Greece, Romania and Austria experienced the excitement of meeting visitors from different profiles. ISAF 2012 Exhibition in which many new products for the sector were launched was again the center of attention this year as it is every year. INTERNATIONAL ISAF SECURITY EXHIBITION September 20-23, 2012 Being the largest activity of the security sector and RFID products in the region, ISAF Security Exhibition hosted 18 countries as well as Turkiye and China, and 212 companies including 67 foreign ones opened stands in 6029 m 2 stand area. As it occurs every year, the latest developments related to security and RFID were presented, the latest trends were followed, new products were launched at ISAF Security Exhibition that was again the heart of the security sector in During the Exhibition where the most important and hi-tech products from 32 countries were exhibited, products from 423 companies were displayed. 16. INTERNATIONAL ISAF FIRE EXHIBITION The fire sector has finally got a Exhibition that is independent of the sectors which it is related to and has its own contents. Fire Exhibition which was held for 15 times together with the other sectors under main title of ISAF Exhibition is held as a separate Exhibition with the title ISAF Exhibition from 2012 on. Covering the main titles of Fire, Emergency, Search & Rescue, and becoming more important with more participants and visitors every year, 16. International ISAF Fire, Emergency, Search & Rescue Exhibition hosted 121 companies including 27 foreign ones participating from 14 countries as well as Turkiye. Products of 108 companies from 25 countries were exhibited in the 1858-m 2 stand area. ISAF SAFETY-HEALTH EXHIBITION Occupational Safety and Health Exhibition which was covered on a small scale in ISAF Exhibition is held as a separate Exhibition from 2012 on. The excitement that started in 2011 and will increase with the liveliness added to the sector by the standards and applications which will reach international levels with the new order which will be brought about by the legal regulations related to the Occupational Safety and Health launched in January 2012 will be felt by both participants and visitors at our Exhibition. ISAF Safety and Health Exhibition which, in its first year, came to the fore thanks to the success that it achieved completed its first year successfully with the support of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Republic of Turkiye and various civil organizations as well as sectoral publications. Stands were built in an area of 708 m 2 in total with the participation of 87 companies from 11 countries including Turkiye. Products of 52 companies from 10 countries were exhibited at the Exhibition where 18 foreign companies opened stands. ISAF IT SECURITY EXHIBITION ISAF IT Security Exhibition which consists of topics of IT Security which is today the most important element of security hosted in its first year 66 participants in an area of 286 m 2. Products of 46 companies from 22 countries were exhibited at the Exhibition which hosted 20 foreign organizasyon@marmarafuar.com.tr Page 2

3 participants from 13 countries including Korea and Taiwan as well as Turkiye. IT Security Conference which we held synchronously with Information, Data and Network Security Exhibition from September 20, 2012 to September 21, 2012 this year was the most comprehensive activity related to this topic in Turkiye. ISAF SMART HOUSES EXHIBITION Today when we use smart systems in almost every part of our lives thanks to the developing technologies, Smart Houses and Building Automation Exhibition was met with great interest from visitors. The Exhibition in the first year which 16 companies from 10 countries including Korea, Taiwan, Italy other than Turkiye opened stands opened its doors with 304 m 2. Products of 71 companies from 19 countries were exhibited at the Exhibition which a total of 68 companies participated in. SECURITY & SAFETY WORKSHOP Held for the second time this year, Security & Safety Workshop was conducted on September 20 with the participation of Police Academy, Labor and Social Security Training Center (ÇASGEM) and Marmara Fuarcılık. Many academicians and speakers who are expert in their fields were invited to the workshop which was held under the chairpersonship of Associate Professor Orhan Filiz from Police Academy that performs an important duty in the standardization of electronic security, occupational safety and occupational health. Yılmaz Halaç, Assistant Manager, Chicago Emergency Management & Communication Unit (311/911) talked and answered questions about the 311/911 applications in the USA, and Erdoğan Kalyoncu, Assistant Manager, Data Processing Department, Istanbul Police Department, also talked and answered questions about the City Security Applications in Istanbul. THE NEW OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH LAW CONFERENCE While the new regulations in the Occupational Health and Safety Law set an important agenda these days when occupational safety and health are under discussion, information about the new occupational safety and health law that was passed in June 2012 and about Personal Protection Equipment was given at the conference held on September 21 by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Republic of Turkiye. The activity which was attended by many sector officials and occupational health experts received great interest IT SECURITY CONFERENCE IT Security Conference which consists of issues related to the IT (Information Technologies) security that has become today s one of the most important problems was held on September organizasyon@marmarafuar.com.tr Page 3

4 along with ISAF that is Turkiye s only Exhibition of the security sector. The need for IT Security Conference is indicated by the rapid increase in the need for information security in parallel with the questions about how to produce and store information today when everything is transferred into electronic media and the solutions to this need becoming increasingly varied. Leading bodies and institutions of the sector participated as speakers in IT Security Conference. Some of these are as follows: Office of Cyber Crimes General Directorate of Security, Association of Information Security, ISSA Turkiye, TÜBİFED, Turkish Standards Institute, INFONET Business Development and Consultancy Group. ASIS TURKIYE UNIT ACTIVITY ASIS Turkiye activity which is held every year at ISAF Exhibition dealt with such technical topics as Mobile Surveillance in the City and Traffic Security, Video Analysis, HD Technology this year and met the members of ASIS Turkiye Unit and the visitors of the Exhibition. Kasım Gülüştür from Mobotix and Mehmet Hanoğlu from Senkron participated in the activity with their speech about Video Analysis and HD Technology, and Oktar Öz from Abloy Turkiye about Gates as the Visible Aspect of Electronic Security Projects and Their Importance in the Projects. OTHER ACTIVITIES Others who conducted activities and their topics are as follows: Association of Occupational Safety Management Experts: Awareness in the Emergency Management and Cost Analysis in the Industrial and Non-Industrial Accidents; Association of Private Investigators: Private Investigation in Turkiye; Association of Lightning Protection and Grounding (YILKODER): High Voltage Protection in Buildings; 911 Search & Rescue Association: Basic Disaster Awareness, Introduction to 911, Search & Rescue Criteria in Turkiye; Search & Rescue Association (AKUT); Conversation With Nasuh Mahruki About Volunteering and AKUT; MOBOTIX: History of MOBOTIX; BIGES: TRIMBOX Safety Solutions Against High Voltage. ISAF IN THE PRESS ISAF Exhibitions that were held from September 20, 2012 to September 23, 2012 received great interest from print and visual media.
