General Description The T SQ- is an analog variable volume diffuser The diffuser maintains space temperature by varying the volume of air delivered to the space The amount of air delivered will depend on the supply air temperature (SAT), the room temperature setpoint, and the room temperature As the volume of air is decreased by the control disc, the velocity of air is increased, thereby maintaining the longest throw and best entrainment This insures superior air distribution at all damper positions The curvature of the backpan works with the formed edges of the face panel to deliver a tight horizontal air pattern, without excessive noise or pressure drop over the full range of operation T SQ- master diffusers are created by connecting the diffuser to a wall mounted controller / thermostat using the blue RJ-5 control cable T SQ- drone diffusers are created by connecting the diffuser to a master unit using the blue RJ-5 control cable Up to six () T SQ- diffusers without optional electric heater or five (5) T SQ- diffusers with optional electric heater can be powered by a single power module using the white RJ-2 power cable RJ-2 (power) and RJ-5 (control) cables are supplied in 25 foot lengths The position of the control disc is varied by linear drive actuator mounted on the control disc When the zone temperature is o F above setpoint, the diffuser is in cooling mode When the zone temperature is o F below setpoint, the diffuser is in heating mode The controller / thermostat normally displays room temperature To adjust the setpoint adjustment press either button An audible sound will let you know the button was pressed The current setpoint value will flash on the display Default setpoint is 7º F (22º C) Press the up or down arrow buttons to increase or decrease the setpoint The setpoint adjustment function will exit after 5 seconds of no user input A built-in auto-calibration feature ensures that the volume control damper position is always correct Optional SCR modulating control inlet electric heater, available up to 2 kw depending on inlet size and voltage, is mounted in the neck of the T SQ- diffuser (Line voltage must be supplied to the electric heaters) TSQ--50 7-7-07 To drive the damper full open or full closed, you must put the controller / thermostat into override mode Press the down arrow for 5 seconds until display will read Li to indicate the override mode Pressing the up arrow will drive the damper to the closed position Pressing the down arrow will drive the damper to the open position Pressing both buttons simultaneously will take the unit out of override mode Press the up arrow on the controller / thermostat for 5 seconds to display supply air temperature A display of 00 denotes that a changeover sensor is not being used The display will revert back to zone temperature after 5 seconds The T SQ diffuser is designed to satisfy architectural, as well as, engineering criteria The strong, clean, unobtrusive lines harmonize with the ceiling, without sacrificing performance The standard finish is #2 White The face panel and backpan are constructed from gauge steel The formed outer edge also assures a straight and level surface This submittal is meant to demonstrate general dimensions of this product The drawings are not meant to detail every aspect of the product Drawings are not to scale Titus reserves the right to make changes without written notice 05 Shiloh Road Plano, Texas 7507 972-22-00 All rights reserved No part of this work may be reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical, including photocopying and recording, or by any information storage retrieval system without permission in writing from Air Distribution Technologies
