Application Guide for the 10 th Shanghai International Youth Interactive Friendship Camp 2014 The 10 th Shanghai International Youth Interactive Friendship Camp 2014, co-organized by Shanghai People s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC) and Shanghai Youth Federation, will be held from July 15 to July 24, 2014 (10 days) in Shanghai. Teenagers from all over the world are welcome to apply for it. 1. Applicants shall be from 14 to 18 years old with at least medium level of English communication skills. Applicants shall have an open mind and willingness to learn different culture. 2. All applicants shall cover the international travel expenses while SPAFFC only covers the cost of event, board & lodge, and transportation in and around Shanghai for applicants within quota (10 days in Shanghai). Applicants beyond quota shall pay the cost of 55 Euros (or 75 US Dollars) per day per person in Shanghai. 3. Applicants shall check in prior to 16:00 on July 15, 2014 at the lobby of Shanghai Hotel (505 North Urumqi Road). If an airport pick-up is needed, please arrive in Shanghai in the morning or early afternoon of 15 July, 2014. All campers shall leave hotel in the morning or afternoon of 24 July, 2014. Please contact the liaison staff in case of special circumstances. 4. During the camp, all campers will live in the designated venues. Please bring necessary clothes, wash suppliers and regular medicine if needed. 5. Please inform us in advance of your food taboo if you have. 6. Campers are required to prepare for the Theme Show on Nations. Please prepare for it in advance (such means as handicrafts or paintings or food to demonstrate national characteristics). 7. Closing date for application is June 13, 2014. Applicants shall fill in the application form first with a copy of passport as attachment.

Rules for the Shanghai International Youth Interactive Friendship Camp 1. Campers shall read carefully the Camper s Handbook and strictly follow the instructions on it. 2. Campers shall wear Camp T-shirt in the Opening and Closing Ceremony. During entire camp period, campers shall wear Camp ID. 3. Campers shall participate in all activities in the scheduled time and designated venue. In case of special circumstances, campers shall ask leave for permission from the teacher. 4. While attending group activities, campers shall listen to the instructions from the group leader. During camp period, campers are encouraged to develop their own skills. 5. Campers shall live in the designated rooms and return to the room before 23:00 to ensure safety and enough time for rest. Campers shall not swap rooms without permission. The teachers are required to accompany the campers to leave the hotel at night. 6. Campers shall abide by social morality and public order. In public places, pillow fight and noise-making are not allowed. 7. No purchasing or drinking liquor or alcoholic beverages, and no smoking. 8. Campers shall take care of personal valuables such as passports and cash. 9. Campers shall respect each other, care about each other, and improve the mutual understanding and friendship by means of more exchanges and communications among the campers. 10.
