They will use simple bservatins t help them understand hw much electricity they use every day. They will discuss the steps they can take t cnserve energy by reducing wasteful energy uses. Ratinale / Purpse fr Lessn This lessn will prvide students an pprtunity t investigate hw energy in the frm f electricity is used in their hme. Students will gain an appreciatin f hw ften they use electricity and why it is such an imprtant resurce. This lessn will allw students t think critically abut the way they use electricity and identify habits that are wasteful. Resurces / Materials Required Print ff ne energy bservatin spreadsheet per student Anticipatry Set Start the lessn by discussing the fact that electricity is smething that cmes t ur huses and schls and must be paid fr based n hw much we use. Allw students t share their existing knwledge abut electricity, especially things in their hmes that are pwered by electricity. Give students 2-3 minutes t list different things that use electricity arund their hmes and their schl.
