Important Announcement ONLINE ADMISSION - 2015-16 On-line Application Form for Merit List Cum-Provisional Admission to 1 st Year for the Academic Session 2015-16 will be available from 3 rd of June 2015 and Applications will be last accepted online till 11:59pm of 20 th of June 2015. Merit list has to be published by 26 th of June 2015 as per University of Calcutta notification. All the aspiring candidates are here by directed to follow the guidelines provided for the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. It will be available in the ONLINE ADMISSION PORTAL on 3 rd of JUNE 2015. As per University of Calcutta Notification candidates who passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent Examination are eligible to seek admission to the 1st year to the below mentioned courses of studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.
Rules and Regulation for Online Admission. Step-1: All the fields in the On-line Application Form are mandatory. Fill up all the fields with utmost care. (Use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome for better result.) Step 2: Use separate On-line Application Form for each course. If anybody wants to apply for more than one Honours or General Course, please fill up separate On-line Application Forms. Fees for all the forms must be paid separately. Step-3: Record the Unique Application ID number which will be generated automatically after submission of the On-line Application Form, for future reference. Step-4: Fees for each application form filled would be Rs 100.00 (Rupees Hundred only) and bank charges Rs 20.00 (Rupees Twenty only). Please click on the Make payment section and check the procedure for payment. Step-5: Print the Bank Challan and approach the concerned Branch and Submit the requisite fees along with bank charges. Step-6: Upload the scanned copy of your recent colour passport Size Photograph along with scanned copy of marks sheet of your last qualifying examination, in the necessary fields.
Please note: 1. Filling up application form On-line does not guarantee admission to the applied courses in the college. Admission process only starts after the publication of merit list and verification of Original documents. 3. During verification of Original documents presence of candidate is mandatory. 4. Application form with Incomplete and wrong entries will be rejected and the Application ID will be treated invalid. 5. Enter a Valid mobile number as after submission of Application the Unique APPLICATION ID NUMBER will be send to the registered mobile number through SMS. 6. Even if you fail to Print the Application form, just use the Unique Application ID Number sent to the registered mobile number to generate the Application Form and Bank Challan through the ONLINE ADMISSION PORTAL. 7. If you some how misplace the sms and forget the Application ID number, just Click on the Forgot Application Number and enter your name and Date of Birth in the format DD-MM-YYYY.
Payment Option/Make Payment 1. After successful submission of On-line Application Form an unique Application ID number will be generated. 2. Click on the Print Bank Challan and enter the Unique Application Form ID number and press Submit to get the Challan Form. 3. If there are multiple application forms then multiple Challan are needed to be printed/downloaded. 4. There will be three counter parts in the Bank challan Form. One will be used for College Office, another for student and last one for the Bank. The copy for the student will be retained by the candidate, other will be retained by the bank and college copy must be dropped in the Drop Box of the College (in the annex building) along with a print out of the application form. The print out of the Application form with the declaration at the back of the application form must be duly signed by the candidate and the concerned Guardian. 5. The payment in cash can be done to any of the branches of CENTRAL BANK OF INDIA. The payment of fees for Application Form will be made in cash in favour of Syamaprasad College A/c No: 3345716000. Bank Charges will be applicable along with the fees. 6. Please do not Pay any Cash to anybody in/outside the college for admission/application form. College will not be liable for it. The cash payment will be accepted only in the authorized banks as mentioned above. 7. Fees once paid are non-refundable.
C.U Admission Procedure Regulation for Admission to the three year B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com (Hons. / Gen / Major) courses of studies effective from the Academic Session 2015-16 onwards until further order: 1. A Candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent Examination is eligible for admission to the 1st Year of the 3 year B.A. / B.Sc. /B.Com (Hons. / Gen / Major) course of studies provided he / she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. 2. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. However the year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. That is for the academic session 2015-16, a candidate who has passed the H.S. (10+2) or its equivalent examination upto 2012-13 is eligible to admission to the 1st year of the 3 year B.A. / B.Sc. /B.Com (Hons. / Gen / Major) course of studies. 3. For determining eligibility of admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Science if studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, may be taken into account for the purpose of determining aggregate marks of best of four Subjects. 4. A candidate taking up Honours course in a subject must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or 55% marks in subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his / her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.
5. Candidate belonging to the SC/ST community taking up Honours course of study must have obtained a minimum of 40% in the aggregate or 40% in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be. Students who have passed the H.S. (10+2) examination or its equivalent from All India Board Councils (i.e, CBSE, ISC and National Institute of Open Schooling) need not require to submit the migration certificate for getting Registration under Calcutta University. Colleges are requested to keep the students strength for each subject according to the intake capacity as sanctioned by the University. Colleges are further requested to kindly ensure that the students are admitted in the college in accordance with the relevant regulations in force (i.e., Notification No. CSR/20/08 dated 20.05.2008).
