European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry The Renaissance of a Smile Florence May 28-30, 2015

The Venue It is a great honour for us to organize the 29th International Congress in Florence. My son and myself will do our best to put up scientific, leisure and social programs which will be a never to forget experience. It will be our pleasure to introduce all the partecipants to our town which is so unique and whose beauty we want to share with our friends. The social events will be organized in the most traditional and famous attractions of Florence such as The Galleria dell Accademia, home of the David Statue, the Uffizi Gallery and Palazzo Vecchio but we will also guide the partecipants into the hidden Florence with its shops where textiles are manifactured the way they were in the Renaissance period, shoes are hand made and personalized for the client, artisan perfumes are produced for personal use and for the house. Private homes will be open for exclusive tours. Prada and Gucci outlets will allow to buy beautiful items at a reduced price. Nice and charming restaurants out of the beaten track will be suggested so that the stay in Florence can be fully appreciated and enjoyed. All this will contribute to make the EAED spring meeting in Florence an experience to be remembered for years. The Scientific Session The scientific program has been organized in such a way that the excellence of the artists of the Renaissance period will be reached again by the speakers who will present how to give back to patients a beautiful smile. All the topics involved in this difficult task will be analized and discussed by leading authors in their fields. The conservative, the prosthetic, periodontal, orthodontic and maxillofacial approach will be covered to obtain not oniy beautiful teeth but a renaissanced beautiful smile within a beautiful face. We will be waiting for you ready to share with enthusiasm the best in science, art, food and enjoyment. The Organizing Committee President Dr. Giano Ricci Local Chairman Dr. Andrea Ricci

Salone dei Cinquecento is the biggest and the most important hall, famous all over the world for the huge paintings by Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Run/Walk into History - Friday, May 29th - 5:15 am Florence City Center An amazing run or walk through the city center of Florence to discover the beauties of the capital of Tuscany in a different light. Members Dinner - Friday, May 29th - 8:30 pm Galleria dell Accademia A private opening of Galleria dell Accademia is an exclusive privilege. The day dedicated to the artistic genius of Michelangelo continues where he is the absolute authority, with some of his famous sculptures: the Slaves, San Mathew and the glorious David that was transferred here from the Piazza della Signoria in 1873 and placed into an especially designed Tribune. Private Visit - Saturday, May 30th - 7:30 pm Galleria degli Uffizi A private guided tour to the major rooms of the Galleria degli Uffizi, one of the most important museums of the world. The Uffizi was built between 1560 and 1580 by Giorgio Vasari and houses now an immense artistic heritage including masterpieces of Giotto, Botticelli, Raffaello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Tiziano and other masters. Private Visit - Saturday, May 30th - after Galleria degli Uffizi Corridorio Vasariano Corridoio Vasariano is an elevated covered walkway that was built in 1564 upon order of Grand Duke Cosimo I de Medici by his architect Giorgio Vasari. It served as connection between Palazzo Vecchio (the seat of the Government) and Palazzo Pitti (a Grand Duke s private residence) to ensure a secure passage of the Monarch in the city that was not always friendly to him. Gala Dinner - Saturday, May 30th - after Corridoio Vasariano Palazzo Pitti, Cortile dell Ammannati The Gala Dinner will be held in the Courtyard of Honour of Palazzo Pitti - the Residence of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany and later of the Kings of Italy. The Courtyard was built between 1558 and 1570 by Bartolomeo Ammannati and is of enormous importance for the later European palace architecture. Palazzo Pitti hosts today a number of important museums of Florence, such as Galleria d Arte Moderna, Galleria Palatina and Museo degli Argenti.
