Interior Doors (non-drainage units) 1. Bilco T, TD, K, and KD Type doors A. T - single leaf aluminum construction with smooth plate cover and tile molding. B. TD - double leaf aluminum construction with smooth plate covers and tile molding. C. K - single leaf aluminum construction with diamond plate cover. D. KD - double leaf aluminum construction with diamond plate cover. 2. 5. Features of all Units A. Cover(s) reinforced for a 150 psf (7.18KN/m 2 ) live load with maximum deflection of 1/150 th of the span. B. Hardware is zinc-plated and chromate sealed. C. Covers are made of ¼ (6.4mm) smooth plate (T & TD) or ¼ (6.4mm) diamond tread plate (K & KD). D. Metal specifications. 1. Frame: Extruded; type 5086 H34 aluminum. 2. Cover and ¼ (6.4mm) reinforcing: 6061-T6 aluminum. 3. Channel and angle reinforcement: 6061-T6 aluminum. E. T-Cam torsion-cam system counterbalances the cover and provides ease of operation through the entire arc of opening and retards downward motion when closing. F. Positive stainless steel snap latch with an inside spoon handle release. Access from the topside with a removable key wrench. G. Automatic hold open arm with a red vinyl grip. H. Cast steel hinges (zinc plated). I. T & TD doors provided with either 1/8 (3.2mm) or 3/16 (4.8mm) molding to accept flooring tile or carpet in the field. 6.
