6 Connection types and Setup of Tosibox and Key 6.1 Connection types Mode A (default setting) Lock joins an existing network as a client (one cable only). Lock will find all network devices (static and dynamic/leased IP adresses) Access can be limited with MAC/IP filtering Setup options: - DHCP Client mode (just one cable to LAN3 port) - Existing network DHCP server provides the IP address for TOSIBOX Consider the data security! - The user of the Key has access to all devices in the local network! - In case access rights need to be restricted, initiate MAC filtering (Industry-setting) or use Mode B. www.beijer.se 4 (33)
Mode B (most customers use Mode B) In Mode B, the Lock creates its own protected local network for the connected devices. Only these devices, connected to the Lock directly by cable or WiFi, are accessible with the Key Lock switches automatically into Mode B when it is connected to the Internet via WAN port, 3G modem or Wifi WAN connection options: - Broadband (WAN connection) - Modem (2G, 3G or 4G) can be purchased separately from Tosibox LAN Connections options: - Device is in Client mode (TOSIBOX default setting, DHCP mode). TOSIBOX provide IP address. The device (adapter, PLC, Camera have to be in Client mode) - Fixed IP address in the device (TOSIBOX default settings, DHCP mode). Use TOSIBOX fixed IP address slot (10 IP addresses upwards, starting from TOSIBOX default IP - Fixed (already defined by customer) IP address in the device. TOSIBOX LAN IP adress will be canged to same range than fixed IP address. www.beijer.se 5 (33)
6.2 Serialization of Tosibox Key and Lock Power ON to the Tosibox Lock Wait 2 minutes Wait 2 minutes for the device to power up Serialize the Tosibox Key by inserting the key in the USB port When the LED goes OFF the Key are ready to use Power ON and wait 2 minutes When blinking has stopped, Key & Lock are serialized (10 sec) Note! To handle extra Keys and Sub key, read the manual TOSIBOX Users maual www.beijer.se 6 (33)
