2 Before You Begin The default IP address for the DRO-210i is with a Subnet Mask of Connecting the DRO-210i Make the necessary power connections. The power LED will turn ON to indicate proper operation. LAN Port connects to network devices, such as PCs, print servers, or additional switches. Connect WAN1 Interface to ISP through Modem. WAN2/LAN interface can be connected to ISP, and can be used as backup interface for WAN1. If only one ISP connection is available, this interface can be configured as LAN. Computers that act as servers (Mail Server, FTP Server etc) can be connected to the LAN/DMZ port by enabling DMZ in web configuration or can be used as LAN. 2

5 Configuring DRO-210i A computer on your LAN must have its NIC card set, to obtain its IP address automatically (refer appendix). The Router by default is assigned an IP address of with a subnet mask of Connect to using Internet Explorer. Check whether the PC is in the same IP range and the Proxy is disabled The Security Alert window will appear. Click on yes 5

For LAN settings go to Interface >LAN IP address: Subnet Mask: If the LAN IP address is changed to a different class or subnet, the web page will disappear and the user will have to log in with the new IP address in the URL. Make sure that the PC IP is also changed to the new class. 5. For WAN 1 settings go to Interface > WAN1 You will need to enter the IP address, subnet mask, gateway and MTU provided to you by your ISP. e.g. IP Setting Mode: Static IP address: Subnet mask: Default Gateway: MTU:

8 6. For DMZ settings go to a) Interface>Port Config To configure DMZ Select Port3 as DMZ b) Interface> DMZ Set the DMZ IP address Eg: IP address: Subnet Mask:

9 7. For WAN2 settings go to Interface > WAN2 e.g. IP Setting Mode: Static IP address: Subnet mask: Default Gateway: MTU: To add a route go to Routing > Static This page allows the user to add and delete static route 9

10 9. To make DHCP settings go to Misc > DHCP > DHCP Server The Router by default acts as a DHCP server assigning IP s to computers on the LAN network. 10. To change the password go to Tools > Password It will ask for the old password and then the user has to type the new password. 10

11 11. Configuration Save, Download and Upload This page is used to save the current configuration to the local flash. The saved configuration can be downloaded from flash to the hard disk or can be uploaded from hard disk to flash. See the next section a) Go to Tools > System b) Go to Tools > Upload 11

12 12. To check the status of the interfaces go to Status > Device Info 12

13 Appendix Assigning a Static IP address for your network adapter The examples below are using a Microsoft Windows 2000 OS. Note: Screens in other Operating Systems will look a bit different, but the steps are the same. 1. Right Click My Network Places and select Properties Right Click local Area Connection icon & select the properties option from the pulldown menu 13

14 2. In the general tab of the Local Area Connection Properties menu, highlight Internet protocol (TCP/IP). Click on Properties 3. Configure the below page as follows Select obtain IP address automatically 14

15 Troubleshooting 1. Forgot LAN IP? In Case the user forgets the IP given to the LAN Port, it is possible to open the Device Manager Web Page by pressing the factory default switch and the settings will be restored back to default settings. Type User name is admin and password is also admin 2. Password Recovery In Case the user forgets the Password, then He has to call up Technical support. Once user gets the username and serial key from Technical support, he/she has to go the following URL. address of LAN port>/html/backup.html To access this page, user has to enter DRO210i as username and DRO210i as the password. This web page will ask for username and serial key. If user enters the <username> and <serial-key> properly (same as received from the Tech. support), then submission of this page will display the old password. Or by pressing the factory default switch, the settings will be restored back to default settings. Type User name is admin and password is also admin. 3.
