56 Registration guidance Registration process CIEH qualifications may only be delivered by a CIEH registered trainer through a CIEH registered centre. CIEH registered trainers must meet certain criteria to register for each qualification that they wish to deliver. Read the Trainer Requirements and Subject Knowledge sections from page 39 to find out more. How long does the registration process take? The registration process will normally be completed within five working days from receipt of your registration forms (two working days if you choose to pay for the fast-track option). Incomplete applications delay the registration process so please ensure your registration is complete before sending it to us. Registration forms are processed in the order that they are received. When your application is successful You will receive an email confirming your registration; together with all relevant information regarding the qualifications for which you are registered. Registered centres will receive a complimentary training pack for each qualification (where applicable). We recommend that trainers buy a personal training pack through their centre to aid course delivery. You will receive a link to the CIEH Procedure Manual, along with a link to MyCIEH where you should log in and accept your centre and/or trainer agreement to confirm that you will follow the standards set out in the Procedure Manual. You will then receive a charter confirming your registration with the CIEH. You may not deliver any CIEH training until the CIEH has received confirmation of your accepted agreement and you have received your charter or notification thereof. If your application is unsuccessful If your application does not meet the standards for registration we will review it, and may request further information from you. If your application still fails to meet the standards for registration, our Customer Services team will inform you of the outstanding requirements. You will then have three months to meet these requirements. A note for trainers outside the UK CIEH registration requirements are based on UK regulations. The trainer qualifications listed are for guidance only if you have a similar qualification you can still register as a CIEH trainer. If your qualification is not easily matched to one listed in our requirements, please send as much supporting evidence as possible such as a syllabus or official course summary detailing duration and topics covered. This information should be in English. If your qualifications do not fully comply with the criteria for teaching in the UK, we may still be able to register you as a trainer in your own country. Any questions? If you have any questions regarding the registration process please contact our Customer Services team: Email: customerservices@cieh.org Phone: +44 (0) 20 7827 5800 Terms and conditions Only trainers and centres registered with the CIEH can deliver CIEH qualifications. They must be registered for each qualification delivered. If a qualification has been delivered where either the centre or trainer has not obtained prior registration, the CIEH will be unable to process exam results and may administer a penalty fee or in certain circumstances legal proceedings. Registration is subject to approval by the CIEH. A registration is not deemed final until the centre and trainer have accepted the registration agreement and has received the appropriate charter or notification thereof. The CIEH reserves the right to refuse registration to any centre or trainer without disclosing the reason. The decision is final and not open to appeal. It is understood that a centre or trainer registers in order to deliver CIEH qualifications. A reactivation fee will be charged to centres who support less than 10 candidates per year, from the second calendar year of operation. There is no minimum training threshold for the first calendar year of operation. If your application remains unsuccessful your trainer registration fees will be lost.
