Course Types Level 3 First Aid At Work (3 Day Course) HSE & QCF Regulated Duration Of Course:- 18 hours over 3 days. Cost Of Course: VAT. This First Aid training course is designed for companies whose Risk Assessment identifies that in order to comply with the current Health & Safety First Aid Regulations 1981, there is a need to provide acceptable First Aid provision for their workforce. The course is designed to provide the First Aider with the skills necessary to provide treatment for injury or illness until further help arrives. 4 Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Course (2 Day Course, Complies With Ofsted & EYFS ) HSE & QCF Regulated Duration Of Course:- 12 hours over 2 days. Cost Of Course: VAT. This comprehensive 12 Hour Paediatric First Aid Training course has been designed specifically for individuals who provide care for babies and children under 8 years old. The course syllabus has been designed in accordance with the UK resuscitation guidelines (2010) and meets the requirements of:- Ofsted, Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, Pre-School Learning Alliance, NCMA (National Child Minders Association) Sure Start and NVQ in childcare and education. The following range of subjects are covered:- First aid responsibilities/priorities when dealing with emergencies. Safety precautions within a childcare environment. Dealing with medication/accident forms/calling for an ambulance & first aid boxes. Treatment of unconsciousness. CPR training. Choking. Recognising and treating of childhood illness. This basic 1 day Emergency First Aid training course for Parents and Child Carers is designed for anyone who wants to learn about First Aid and has a professional involvement or cares for children and babies. 5 3 Hour First Aid Annual Refresher Training Course (HSE Recommend) Duration Of Course:- 3 hours. Course Times:- 8.45am 12 noon. Cost Of Course: VAT. The HSE now recommend that all First Aider s receive annual refresher training between re-qualification to prevent skills fade. This 3 hour First Aid training course is delivered to the HSE s syllabus, and provides First Aider s with the opportunity to practice and update their practical skills, refresh theoretical knowledge and ensure that they are kept up to date with the latest First Aid guidelines. Changes to current first aid practices. Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency. Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure). Wounds and bleeding. Shock. Assessment is ongoing by the instructor. Manual Handling Awareness Training Course Duration Of Course:- 2 hours. Course Times:- Group bookings only. Cost Of Course: VAT. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (amended 2002) requires employers to undertake Manual Handling risk assessments. Under these regulations, Manual Handling Training should be provided for all staff. Back problems account for a third of worker absences in the UK!!! The following ranges of subjects is covered:- Functions of the spine and why manual handling injuries occur. Types of injuries. Identifying hazards of top heavy bending. Applying the principles of a good base movement. Control strategies. Personal protective equipment. Level 2 Basic Life Support & Management Of Anaphylaxis (4 Hours) QCF Regulated Duration Of Course:- 4 hours. Course Times:- Group bookings. Cost Of Course: VAT. This qualification is ideal for delegates who have a specific responsibility at work, home or in voluntary and community activities to provide basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis in an emergency. The following subjects are covered:- Chain Of Survival. Incident and casualty assessment. Anaphylaxis
6 Level 2 Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation & Automated External Defibrillation QCF Regulated Duration Of Course: Hours. Course Times:- Group bookings only. Cost Of Course: VAT. Heart and circulatory disease claims around 200,000 lives each year. Many could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available. Automated External Defibrillators (AED s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of public and work places. A casualty s survival rate will dramatically increase if an AED is available and if you have appropriately qualified personnel to use it. This very practical course will enable your learners to use the AED competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED but it also includes vital training in resuscitation and choking procedures. The following subjects are covered:- Basic Life Support requirements. CPR & AED safety considerations. Use of the Automated External Defibrillator. AED user maintenance and troubleshooting. Recovery position. Choking. Handover and reporting. On successful completion of a practical assessment learners will receive a certificate valid for 12 months. First Aid - Awareness Training Course Duration Of Course:- 3 hours. Course Times:- Group bookings only. Cost Of Course: VAT. This 3 hour First Aid training course is designed to give individuals a basic awareness of First Aid, without the need for a formal assessment. A certificate of attendance will be issued. This course does not meet the requirements for a First Aider at Work. The following ranges of subjects are covered:- Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency. Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure). Wounds and bleeding. Shock.

Year 1 Year 2 Annual Skills Update. Year 3 Year 3 Year 3 is due well in advance of qualification expiring. First Aiders whose qualification has expired are not classed as competent to perform their role.
