DIAL TEST INDICATORS T1, T2 and T3 indicators have a switch lever for reversing the direction of movement. Lever pivots are mounted in ball bearings. Fitted with 4mm or 1 /4'' dia.top spigot and holder body side clamp which accepts rods up to 6.5mm (0.256''). Indicator body machined with dovetail to suit attachments. CENTERING ATTACHMENTS DIACATOR FOR PRECISE CONCENTRICAL ALIGNING The DIACATOR is an instrument with a stationary indicator and a rotating probe for fast and accurate concentrical alignment of bores and shafts on most rotary machine tools. Applications: Concentrical alignment of boxes and shafts on milling, drilling and boring machines; Alignment of the footstock on milling and cylindrical grinding machines and of the tailstock on lathes; Accurate concentrical alignment of indexing heads and tables, of grinding fixtures, of drill sleeves in tool holders and of many other special fixtures. Design Features: The DIACATOR is mounted in two suspension ball bearings that render it entirely free from play. The probe yoke is provided with a safety clutch as a precaution against damage to the instrument should the probe hang up on some obstacle while in motion. Advantages: Contrary to other aligning methods, the machine is in motion during the aligning operation. Thus alignment takes place under the same conditions (uniform oil film on spindle bearings and constant speed) as the subsequent work. The dial remains stationary and is positioned to face the operator so that he may conveniently and accurately follow the process. During alignment the revolving probe and the working spindle form a single unit. Possible off centre of the tool chuck caused by an inaccurate chuck, closer, sleeve, etc, in no way influences the centering operation or its accuracy.
