Johnson Controls, Inc. now offers Mercury Security Corporation s high-quality access control hardware products, which can be integrated with the Johnson Controls P2000 Security Management System (SMS) Version 3.12 and later, providing added flexibility to help you meet the needs of your site s security requirements, using products from a well-known and time-tested security manufacturer. The following Mercury intelligent controllers are available separately or as part of a pre-configured security control panel assembly housed in a secure enclosure: CKM-EP2500 CKM-EP1501 CKM-EP1502 Wireless lock integration The integration to Mercury Controllers also enables P2000 integration with the Aperio line of wireless locks from ASSA ABLOY and the AD Series wired and wireless locks from Schlage. The Aperio wireless hub functions as a multi-lock (up to 8) reader module with all three of the Mercury intelligent network controllers. The Schlage PIM module functions as a reader module with the CKM-EP2500 and CKM-EP1501 intelligent network controllers. Access Platform CKM-EP2500 Controller The Access Platform CKM-EP2500 is an intelligent controller platform with native network support. This powerful and high-performance platform provides an Ethernet ready controller capable of efficiently managing a large network of Mercury access modules in multiple system designs. Based on the intelligent, next-generation Mercury Access Foundation, the CKM-EP2500 uses an Ethernet link to connect to the Microsoft Windows based P2000 host to provide access control, alarm management, and scheduled operations all in one package. The CKM-EP2500 is capable of elaborate processes and procedures without host intervention. Once configured, the CKM-EP2500 functions independently of the host, and is capable of controlling access, managing alarms, interfacing with an array of Mercury hardware devices, all while providing the decision-making oversight that each system configuration requires. CKM-EP2500 supports the range of reader technologies, including Wiegand, magnetic stripe, and biometric connectivity. As an intelligent system cornerstone, the CKM-EP2500 provides the greatest system capacity within Mercury s family of controller platforms. The Access Platform CKM-EP2500 is best deployed in systems where high-end capabilities and network-ready capacity are required. For high device counts, large numbers of readers, and a high volume of system activity, the CKM-EP2500 is the controller of choice. Network ready System intelligence decentralized Intelligent oversight and auxiliary monitoring to 64 doors Note: The CKM-EP2500 does not support shared mode and central mode communications with the P2000 host. Multi-card format support Multi-reader technology support Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption support between P2000 server and controller Alarm keypad support for intrusion applications Code No. LIT-1900829 Issued February 26, 2016 CKM-EP2500 CKM-EP1501 CKM-EP1502 Optional Dual-LAN support for connection redundancy 1 CKM-EP2500 Controller s Primary Power Ethernet/Serial Ports CKM-EP2500 Feature 12-24 VDC +/- 10%, 300 ma maximum Primary 10/100 Ethernet Port 1: RS-232, 2-wire, dial-up, or secondary Ethernet Port 2: 2-wire Port 3: 2-wire, Two dedicated: tamper and power monitor 5.0 in. Access Platform CKM-EP1501 Controller Mercury s Access Platform CKM-EP1501 is an intelligent controller within the EP platform family and is built on the Mercury Access Foundation. The CKM-EP1501 provides a high-performance, Ethernet ready, cost-effective dual card reader panel capable of controlling a single opening. The CKM-EP1501 is expandable up to 8 downstream supervised input/output (SIO) controllers and up to 16 CKM-MR51E network ready door controllers for a total of 17 doors. Easy installation with Power Over Ethernet (PoE) makes this the top choice for a singledoor controller. Once configured, the CKM-EP1501 functions independently of the host and is capable of controlling access and managing elaborate processes such as relating selected system devices and their activity to other onboard devices, allowing actions and activities to transpire without host intervention. Offering powerful flexibility, the CKM-EP1501 is capable of interfacing with an array of reader technologies for a single opening. Reader ports support separate in/out readers and technologies that include Wiegand, clock and data,, magnetic stripe, keypads, LCD, and biometrics. The CKM-EP1501 seamlessly interfaces a single opening with a larger system for easy expansion. Providing all the intelligence and functionality of the Mercury family of controllers, the CKM-EP1501 is PoE capable and sets the standard for powerful, reliable performance, all at an economical price point. Decentralizes system intelligence Single-door interface Network ready to 17 doors Seamless P2000 software interface integration multiple card formats and card reader technologies PoE capable TLS encryption support between P2000 server and controller Triple gang footprint CKM-MR51E support (up to 16) SIO module interface capability (up to 8) CKM-EP1501 Controller s (Part 1 of 2) Power Input Power Output Reader Interface PoE Power Input 12.95 W, compliant to IEEE 802.3af or 12 VDC ± 10% 900 ma maximum power supply For UL installations, PoE powered devices shall not be used.
