Minimum System Requirements The Fuzion Media Player needs the following hardware to run optimally: - CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz or higher - Graphics Card: nvidia 9500GT or better - Operating System: Windows XP SP3 - RAM: 4 GB It is very important that the graphics card is fast enough to play the videos smoothly with at least 30 fps (frames per second). Please avoid using a slow consumer graphics card such as the nvidia 7300 or ATI X1300, and also DO NOT use any integrated chipset such as the Intel G900. We recommend the nvidia 9500GT. Fuzion Media Player s supported file formats: - 3D Videos (*.e3d, *.mmh) - 2D Videos (Mpeg2, Mpeg4) - 2D Pictures (*.bmp, *.gif, *.jpeg, *.jpg, *.tif, *.png, *.wmf, *.emf) Getting Started The Magnetic 3D Display Configurator is required to configure the 3D display for the playback computer and attached Magnetic 3D display with Enabl3D Technology. Otherwise, the Fuzion Media Player is not able to play glasses-free 3D videos. Please also make sure that the latest version of DirectX 9.0c is installed. If the installed version is old, you will get a message from the installation program to upgrade to a newer version. Display Configurator Starting the Display Configurator from the Start Menu: - Start the shortcut Display Configurator in the Magnetic start menu entry. 2/12

Magnetic 3D Display Configurator with 46 Allura selected Fig 1.1 3D Display Selection The 3D Display can simply be selected by browsing through the list of Display Types. (Fig 1.2) Fig 1.2 3/12

The properties of the selected display are listed in the Properties window for information. (Fig 1.3) 3D Window Position Fig 1.3 Make sure the setting is set to Display 1 - Fullscreen (x 0 y 0). (Fig 1.4) Setting the Windows Display Properties Fig 1.4 Right click on the desktop and scroll to the Screen Resolution settings. (Fig 1.5) 4/12 Fig 1.5

Under the Settings Tab make sure the following is set correctly (Fig1.6): - The screen resolution is set to proper pixel settings per your 3D monitor resolution. You can find the resolution of your 3D screen by looking in the Properties Window of the Display Configurator. See the 3D display selection. (Fig 1.3) - Click OK. Windows Display Properties Fig 1.6 DO NOT set the resolution higher than the display resolution, or you will have additional troubleshooting. This will cause portions of the screen to be cut off, restricting your view on the display. (Fig 1.6) 5/12

Starting the License Manager Start the shortcut License Manager in the Magnetic 3D start menu section Display Configurator. License Manager Fig 1.7 Installed Licenses This window lists all installed licenses. By selecting each entry, you can see license details in the bottom window. (Fig 1.7) Usually licenses are valid for a certain time range, and only on a specific computer. Computers are identified by their Host-ID. You can check in this window if a license is valid on this computer, and you also can see if the time or the Host-ID are different. (Fig 1.7) 6/12

Initial Start of the Fuzion Media Player When starting the Fuzion Media Player for the first time, you will see a dialog that asks for the Library location. (Fig 1.8) Fig 1.8 Create a Library Name, such as 3D Videos, and point the Library File to a location on your hard drive. This will determine the location your 3D video files will be saved and stored in. (Fig 1.8) - You can create a new folder on the desktop to use assign the Library File to. This will make it easier to find and keep track of your 3D video files. 7/12

Enabl3D Playlists Fig 1.9 is a screenshot of the Fuzion Media Player with the Sections numbered: Fuzion Media Player Fig 1.9 Section 1 This is the section where you create and view your different Playlists Section 2 This section shows all the videos and images that currently reside in your Library. Section 3 This section shows all the videos and images associated with a selected Playlist, in this case M3D Tradeshow. (Fig 1.9) 8/12

Creating a Playlist Under the Playlist Window, right click on Library and choose Create Playlist from the drop down menu. Name your new Playlist and hit the Enter key on your keyboard. (Fig 2.0) Fig 2.0 Right click on New Playlist and select Import Files from the drop down menu. (Fig 2.1) Fig 2.1 After clicking on Import Files, an Explorer window will appear. Find your 3D video folder and select a single video or multiple video files from the Explorer window to import into the the Playlist. You can choose from a range of different video types and still images in both 2D and 3D. The imported files will show up in the Library window of the Enabl3D Player. (Fig 2.2) 9/12

Fig 2.2 The files will also show in the Playlist window of the Enabl3D Player. (Fig 2.3) Saving a Playlist Fig 2.3 To save a playlist click the Save Playlist button. You can set a default playlist to automatically start when the Enabl3D Player is started by right clicking on your new playlist name and choosing to Set as default Library. (Fig 2.4) 10/12 Fig 2.4

The content will only play back in 2D unless it is certified. To certify 3D content you need to contact Magnetic 3D support at www.magnetic3d.com. Each certified file will need a VIC (Verified ID Certificate) to play back. You can have a single VIC for a single video or image file or a single VIC associated with many video and image files. VIC files are accessed through Magnetic 3D support, and need to be installed. Installing a VIC File Click on File (Fig 1.9) and go to Preferences. Select the Certificates tab. Click the Import button. Browse to the VIC file and click Open. Click OK. (Fig 2.5) Fig 2.5 - Once you have imported the VIC file, you will now be able to play the 3D content back in 3D. Choosing the Right Preferences Under the File Menu (Fig 1.9), click on Preferences and select the General tab. (Fig 2.6) 11/12

In the Preferences, click on the Player tab. (Fig 2.7) Fig 2.6 Play Default Playlist after Startup: check to auto-play the default playlist after Enabl3D Player start. Useful for auto-start configurations. Always Check Library after Start: software will check location of library on startup. (Fig 2.6) Fig 2.7 Render Method: should always be set to DirectX 9 Standard. Place Window on top of Others: will instruct the Player to play on top of other windows. Should always be checked. Eliminated Tearing: Should always be checked. Show Framerate Info: If checked this function will display the framerate info onscreen. Useful for debugging slow video files, but not required.
