NOV Training Norway NOV welcomes you to our training facilities in Norway. These facilities include drilling simulators, classrooms and miscellaneous hands-on training equipment. As your partner in training we have a strong focus on safety. Procedures for safe and monitoring of critical parameters are important to ensure safe and maintenance. NOV Training Norway offers highly educated instructors with knowledge and insight into our equipment and systems. We have extensive experience in training offshore personnel. With genuine respect for our participants, we strive to give them training adapted to their level of experience. As Original Equipment Manufacturers our course material is produced by our instructors in co- with engineers, designers and course developers. Presentations, handouts, exercises and exams are tailor made for each Rig Specific course. Rig Specific NOV drawings and manuals are used throughout the course. A number of our courses can also be delivered onboard. All our customers have the possibility to purchase Rig Specific software for the Drilling Simulator. Rig Specific Rig Specific Course Descriptions Electro Technical KRS 1320 Well Intervention Electro Technical Course The course will provide the necessary knowledge for using the Simatic S7 Manager as a troubleshooting tool for the specified NOV equipment. Course participants shall understand the basic functions of the Siemens Simatic S7 PLC System and be able to utilize the Simatic Manager software by training on a NOV PLC test station. In addition, learners will obtain sufficient technical knowledge to perform maintenance and solve unforeseen occurrences on the onboard equipment (as listed in the course curriculum). KRS 1021 Hands-on Troubleshooting Course, Drilling Equipment & Knuckle Boom Crane, Advanced ET The participants will obtain technical skills to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and to solve unforeseen occurrences on the systems/ equipment listed below. This course is based on the participants solving various troubleshooting scenarios with use of hands-on training equipment listed below. Approximately 85% of the course will be hands-on. Electro Technical Maintenance course are Electrical Engineers and ET Personnel for Well Intervention Systems Electrical or Electro Technical background This course is designed for experienced ET Personnel Prior to attending the course, each course participant should have at least one of the following: * Completed NOV Cyberbase Drilling Equipment & System Training and had at least 6 months experiences on a rig after that. * Successfully completed online pre-assessment. Explain the equipment s intention, construction and manner of Explain the operating procedures in order to perform maintenance in a correct, efficient and safe manner Explain the electrical system of the equipment KRS 1020 Drilling Equipment Electro Technical Course The course will provide the necessary knowledge for using the Simatic S7 Manager as a troubleshooting tool for the specified NOV equipment. Familiar with the NOV PLC program structure, identify the NOV standard program blocks and demonstrate how to search and monitor in the PLC programs. Identify different instruments used on NOV machinery. Simulator Training (rig specific if available): Upon course completion, course participants shall be able to: Set up the different machines for Run the machines in different operating modes Locate information/alarms/messages on Cyberbase displays Troubleshoot using information on Cyberbase displays Set up ServiceLab on ehawk PC Monitor signals in the machine PLC program Analyze fault symptoms Utilize the information to suggest possible solutions for correcting the faults NOV Hands On Workshop : Upon course completion, course participants shall be able to: Locate the instruments Troubleshoot by utilizing the PLC program, ServiceLab and measuring instruments Analyze fault symptoms and correct the faults Utilize relevant software for troubleshooting and configuration of hardware. 6 training.norway@ 7

Rig Specific Add-on Equipment / System Rig Specific NOR 5010 Cyberbase & Drilling Equipment Operator Course This course is designed to provide participants with knowledge of Cyberbase, control and interaction of NOV drilling equipment and systems. Operation instructions and technical description of equipment will be discussed in detail with regards to the NOV manual. The majority of the course is hands-on training, both on Cyberbase System Training Stations and in Drilling Simulator. Drilling Section Leaders (Toolpushers), Drillers and Assistant Drillers Experience and practical understanding of the drilling process and of the specific drilling equipment Explain main data, range of application and function of the equipment and systems Explain and demonstrate navigation of various HMI displays Outline technical specifications of equipment Explain how to utilize NOV user manuals Solve practical exercises in Drilling Simulator and on Cyberbase System Training Station NOR 5013 Cyberbase & Drilling Equipment Pipe Handling Course This course is designed to provide participants with valuable knowledge of the pipe handling functions of the Cyberbase Control System and NOV drilling equipment. Special focus will be on the pipe handling procedures and hands-on training in Drilling Simulator. The majority of the course is hands-on training, both on Cyberbase System Training Stations and in Drilling Simulator. Drilling Section Leaders (Toolpushers), Derrickman, Roughnecks and Assistant Drillers Understanding of drilling process Explain range of application and function of the equipment & systems Explain and demonstrate navigation of various HMI displays Outline technical specifications of equipment Examine manual run and auto run in simulator Solve practical exercises and troubleshooting in Drilling Simulator and on Cyberbase System Training Station NOR 5011 Cyberbase & Drilling Equipment Performance Operator Course This course is designed to provide participants with skills on Cyberbase Control System and NOV drilling equipment. The majority of the course is hands-on training in our Drilling Simulator with focus on increased performance level for the drilling crew and solving troubleshooting scenarios. Drilling Section Leaders (Toolpushers), Drillers, Assistant Drillers, Roughnecks, Floor hands and Derrickman NOV Cyberbase & Drilling Equipment Operator course or experience 5 participants Explain and demonstrate setup of equipment and systems Outline technical specifications in troubleshooting situations Solve practical scenarios in Drilling Simulator and extensive troubleshooting KRS 1310 Well Intervention Operator Course The course will provide learners with sufficient technical knowledge to operate the on-board equipment (as listed in the assembled course curriculum for onboard equipment) in a correct, safe and efficient manner. Participants will learn about the equipment s intention, construction and manner of, including system design (i.e. hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, control system). The course also focuses on the interaction of the equipment on a specific rig/ vessel (System integration) and during the whole course, NOV User Manuals will be utilized to locate pertinent information. Furthermore, participants will learn how to utilize the NOV spare part system and what to do if Technical Support/ Service is needed. Operators of Well Intervention Systems. Participants should have relevant experience Explain the equipment s intention, construction and manner of Explain how to ensure safe and efficient of the equipment Explain how to do inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs as described in the user manual SoftSpeed about the damage caused on string and equipment by torsional vibrations, how SoftSpeed works and how it can be used in an efficient manner. DFR This course is designed to prepare participants to understand the Drilling Flight Recorder s intention, topology and functions. Participants also practice the of relevant functions. DC/HVAC/CYB This course is designed as an introduction to the Driller s Cabin, HVAC and Cyberbase Operator Station. Participants will focus on its safe and efficient. MMC Complete This course is designed to teach the participants the intention, set-up and of the Multi Machine Control system. This includes trip-in/out as well as stand building/breaking and drilling support. The participants will practice these processes and solve troubleshooting scenarios in the Drilling Simulator. MMC Trip-in/out This course is designed with special focus on the trip-in/out function. Participants will focus on troubleshooting. PIM This course is designed to help the participants achieve sufficient technical skills and understanding of the Pipe Interlock Management, in order to run the equipment in a safe and efficient manner. 3 s 1 1 Guide Arms for the Guide Arms. They will learn about system design, the equipment s intention, construction and manner of in order to be able to perform inspections, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairs in a correct, efficient and safe manner and as described in the user manual. They will learn about system design, the equipment s intention, construction and manner of, including system interaction. Learning about the operating procedures and how to perform inspections, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairs enables each learner to operate the equipment in question, in addition to perform inspections, trouble shooting, maintenance and repairs in a correct, efficient and safe manner. During the whole course, participants will be trained in utilizing Rig Specific User s Manuals to locate pertinent information, and hence be better prepared for the on-board reality. With that in mind NOV Training offers you open enrollment Product Line training. Each course is a standard course that covers the most common versions of equipment and systems on a rig. This enables our customers to send individual personnel to generic courses. Scheduled courses are sold on a per seat basis. Product Line Product Line Product Line Course Descriptions Electro Technical KRS 1025-5 Hands-on Troubleshooting Course, Drilling Equipment & Knuckle Boom Crane, Advanced ET 4 s The participants will obtain technical skills to perform maintenance, troubleshooting and to solve unforeseen occurrences on the systems/ equipment listed below. This course is based on the participants solving various troubleshooting scenarios with use of hands-on training equipment listed below. Approximately 85% of the course will be hands-on. The participants will study general basics of PLC technology, Step7 setup, structure, addressing, hardware modules, remote I/O and project handling using the Cyberbase System Training Station. The major components and the functions of the mechanical and electrical system will be discussed. The participants will get a complete coverage of the electrical system. Troubleshooting procedures will be explained in accordance with the NOV User Manual. Part of the course will be spent in the simulator, operating the machine in different modes and in interaction with other machines on the drill floor. Troubleshooting by use of Cyberbase operator station will be a part of the simulator training. Hands on training and troubleshooting will be done in our workshop with Mini Cyberbase and MPT200 available. A field trip to the test facility will also take place if time allows. Electrician, electro technicians and all personnel involved with electro technical maintenance General computer skills and understanding of electrical systems This course is designed to train participants the s, electrical system, and troubleshooting of the Hydratong ARN/MPT 270. The major components and the functions of the mechanical and electrical system will be discussed. The participants will get a complete coverage of the electrical system. Troubleshooting procedures will be explained in accordance with the NOV User Manual. Part of the course will be spent in the simulator, operating the machine in different modes and in interaction with other machines on the drill floor. Troubleshooting by use of Cyberbase operator station will be a part of the simulator training. Note: Hands on training and troubleshooting will be done in our workshop with Mini Cyberbase and MPT200 available. An ARN270 main frame/tool frame (not al) is available to become familiar with the construction. A field trip to the test facility will also take place if time allows. Electrician, electro technicians and all personnel involved with electro technical maintenance KRS 1025-4 HR III/IV HydraRacker and Fingerboard NOV 9026-1TDX Series Top Drives Electro Technician Course 3 s Electro Technician Course 2 s This course is designed to train participants the s, electrical system, and troubleshooting of the HydraRacker III/IV. The major components and the functions of the mechanical and electrical system will be discussed. The participants will get a complete coverage of the electrical system. Troubleshooting procedures will be explained in accordance with the NOV User Manual. Part of the course will be spent in the simulator, operating the machine in different modes and in interaction with other machines on the drill floor. Troubleshooting and emergency by use of Cyberbase operator station will be a part of the simulator training. A field trip to the test facility will also take place if time allows.
