We have therefore chosen Saia-Burgess Controls AG of Switzerland as our main provider of PLC. Example of compact hardware supplied by LEVEL, successfull retrofit in existing cabinet, improving functionality and esthetic appearance, freeing up space and simplifying trouble shooting. The compactness and versatility makes our products particularly suitable for retrofit installation. We pride ourselves in providing an unrivalled LEVEL of product tailoring and will do our outmost to configure our products to suit your exact requirements. Upon request, we can also utilize PLC s of other brands. All components supplied by LEVEL for marine applications are naturally designed for marine use, and covered by type approval certificates issued by major classification companies. Class certification will be furnished where required.

Both PRO LEVEL- S and SAFE LEVEL-S share a common hardware platform, but where PRO LEVEL-S is designed for versatile use, and can be configured for almost any imaginable monitoring and/or control task for processes requiring up to approximately 500 I/Os, the software running on SAFE LEVEL-S is designed to meet special requirements to independent safety systems. Some important options: Touch Screen operator panel is available in several sizes Touch screen can be replaced by mimic panel Hardware can be installed in existing control desks if required 2 operator panels or alternatively one panel and printer can be configured to meet class requirements to Main Alarm Systems. In addition to the options mentioned above, a wide range of variations are available to suit your exact requirements. Examples of applications: PRO LEVEL-S: Valve Control, Propulsion Control, Engine Alarm System, Power Plant Control, HVAC Control, Winch Control, Tank Level Gauging, Overfill Alarm System, Ballast Control, Pump Control, Condition Monitoring etc. SAFE LEVEL-S: Auxiliary engine safety system, Propulsion engine safety system, Boiler safety system, Ventilation shutdown system etc.

The building blocks of PRO LEVEL-X consist of two or more SAIA PCD2/3 PLC s in an open ring network configuration. Closed network ring and even redundant dual closed rings can be provided for applications where a higher level of robustness against failures is required. PRO LEVEL-X can be stand-alone, or integrated with other systems. All application specific software is developed in-house and is very user friendly and intuitive. We offer the rugged and compact 19 Hatteland Series X Maritime Multi Computer PC as standard user interface. 5 SAFE LEVEL-X Simplified topology diagram Optional Bridge/ Remote Workstation Main Control Cabinet SAFE LEVEL-X is designed to limit the duration and severity of a possible incident, in locations where requirements to an independent safety system exists. It is intended for use in areas where availability and robustness is extremely important, such as petroleum exploration, gas carriers and gas fuel installations. We have therefore designed the system to meet the requirements found in DNV s Offshore Standard A101, Section 5, which implies that it is single failure tolerant above I/O level. It comprises of two series PLCs from Saia-Burgess Controls AG communicating over a single failure tolerant fiberoptic ring network. Access for temporary disabling of inputs and outputs in order to allow for testing without interrupting other systems, as well as status monitoring, is available from a touch screen panel fitted in the cabinet front.
