4 GENERAL INFORMATION TRAINING COURSES Each course is arranged upon request with a minimum of four (4) of confirmed participants. This may vary depending on the training centre enrolled. The course Fee Includes Documentation Daily lunch and coffee / tea Daily transportation between hotel and the course premises Providing coveralls and personal protection equipment for hands-on training LODGING Payments for hotel accommodation are settled directly between the customer and the hotel. Upon request, our training centre can offer attractive, complete room packages for our customers which include hotel accommodation and breakfast. In this case, the training centre will cover the payment initially and invoice it to the customer after the training along with the training fee. Any other hotel consumables or personal expenses (e.g. minibar, dinner) are not covered in this package. 4

5 registration confirmation Registrations are not confirmed until a notice of confirmation has been received. COURSE cancellation POLICY No cancellation fee will be charged if notice is given at least 14 calendar days before the course begins. The cancellation fee is 50% of the course price if notice is given 7 to 14 calendar days before the course begins. The cancellation fee is 100% (full course price) if notice is given less than 7 calendar days before the course begins. The price for one night s accommodation (the percentage depends on hotel policy of location) is charged if the hotel room package was booked through Wärtsilä Land & Sea Academy (WLSA) and notice is given less than 7 calendar days before the course begins. Course cancellation policy may vary depending on the product or regional training centre enrolled. SafetY policy Each participant observes personnel safety regulations. All safety equipment is supplied by WLSA during the course. 5

168 Gothenburg Training Centre SWEDEN The Wärtsilä Land & Sea Academy Training Centre in Sweden is situated in the middle of the maritime area in Gothenburg, the busiest port in Scandinavia. The Training Centre off ers training for the Wärtsilä Nohab engines, WECS 3000 engine control system as well as for the Wärtsilä Senitec oily water treatment products. The Training Centre is located in the same building as the workshop and main stock. The Training Centre is also equipped with one Wärtsilä 12V25 diesel engine and one 6R25SG natural gas engine, on which hands-on courses for the complete Nohab range are held. Additionally, the gas engine is used for practical demonstration during WECS 3000 courses. Nine WECS hands-on working stations are available. For the Wärtsilä Senitec courses, the Training Centre has a fully functioning M1000 unit, normally used to handle waste water and spillage from the workshop.
