The East Side Club 75 Monona Dr. Madison WI 57 The East Side Club 608-222-9 A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT This is my first newsletter as the new President of the East Side Club and would like to again extend my thanks to the Board for my election as President and to the many Club members that congratulated me the evening of January 9 th. I look forward to serving as President and working with the other Board members, various committees and Nancy and her staff to build on the work of Pat Blair and previous Past Presidents in keeping the East Side Club an inviting place for our members, guests and those groups that rent our fine facility. The 2th annual Chili Cook-Off will be on Feb. 22nd. I encourage Club members to volunteer to help with this event. Please contact Nancy in the office via phone or email at office@escmadison.com if you would like to volunteer. Without volunteers, it is not possible to hold these events and the Club would not reap the economic benefits that they provide. Also, I am giving an early heads up that the President s Ball will be on Saturday, April 9th in the Lake View room. Nancy has done a good job of renting the Capital View room for events during the April weekends. The Lake View room has a beautiful view and will provide a more intimate space for this event. We will be working on securing a band, caterer and master of ceremonies for this event over the next month. More detailed information on this important annual event will be forthcoming in future newsletters. As noted during my short speech, to those that attended the January 9 th swearing in of the new Board members and officers, my wife and I will be out of state in February and March. During my absence, Jack Fadness, the new Vice President, will conduct the February and March Business meetings. I will be in touch with Jack and the other Board members and Nancy during this time via phone and email. I look forward to another good year for the Club and to the successful and fun get together s throughout 20.
