The World of Hutchison Port Holdings

Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH), a subsidiary of the multinational conglomerate Hutchison Whampoa Limited (HWL), is the world s leading port investor, developer and operator. The HPH network of port operations comprises 318 berths in 52 ports, spanning 26 countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia. Over the years, HPH has expanded internationally into other logistics, transportation-related and hotel businesses. These include cruise ship terminals, airport and hotel operations, distribution centres, rail services, and ship repair facilities. In 2011, the HPH port network handled a combined throughput of 75.1 million TEU worldwide, representing approximately 13 percent of the world s container traffic (source: Drewry Consultants). Through years of research and investment in technology, HPH is one of the most technologically advanced port operators in the industry today. It is committed to the creation and implementation of forward-looking, service enhancing technology. The Next Generation Terminal Management System (ngen), the award-winning proprietary system developed in-house, continues to set productivity benchmarks for the industry. The World of HPH CHINA HONG KONG Hongkong International Terminals (HIT) HIT*, is a major container terminal operator in one of the world s busiest ports Hong Kong Kwai Tsing Port, with 12 berths at Terminals 4, 6, 7 and 9. It has a quay length of 3,992 metres and a depth alongside of 15.5 metres. Hutchison Logistics (HK) Hutchison Logistics (HK)*, is a leading provider of supply chain solutions and logistics services. The company is able to link its customised supply chain solutions to a multi-modal network that encompasses road, rail, sea and air transportation for both inbound and outbound trade. MAINLAND CHINA SHENZHEN Yantian International Container Terminals (YICT) Located in a natural deep-water port, YICT*, is the leading gateway serving import and export container traffic generated by its immediate cargo hinterland in the Pearl River Delta region. It is responsible for the management and operation of Phase I, II, III, the Expansion Project and West Port in Yantian Port. It has a total of 19 berths and a quay length of 8,862 metres. COSCO-HIT Terminals (CHT) HIT CHT*, a 50-50 joint-venture between HIT and COSCO Pacific, operates two berths at Terminal 8 (East) at the Kwai Tsing Container Port. River Trade Terminal (RTT) RTT handles and consolidates container and break-bulk cargo originating from southern China river ports prior to dispatch to Kwai Tsing. Asia Port Services (APS) APS*, provides container-handling services at buoys in midharbour using lighters equipped with derricks. APS also offers empty container storage, container repair and feeder services between ports in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta in southern China. YICT Shenzhen Hutchison Inland Container Depots (SHICD) SHICD*, operates a supervisory and bonded warehouse that facilitates imports and exports in the Pearl River Delta. Pingyan Multimodal Pingyan Multimodal* provides a wide range of multimodal services for customers, including departure and arrival of dedicated trains, railway and international container, and cargo transshipment, export bonded warehouse and trucking service. * is a member of HPH Trust, the world s first publicly traded container port business trust

SHANGHAI Shanghai Container Terminals (SCT) SCT is composed of three terminals in the Wusong Port Area, namely Zhanghuabang, Jungonglu and Baoshan. These terminals are located on the west bank of the Huangpu River near the Yangtze River junction. Shanghai Mingdong Container Terminals (SMCT) SMCT, located at Phase V of the Waigaoqiao Port in Shanghai, operates the largest container terminal at Waigaoqiao, consisting of seven container berths and two feeder berths along a 2,258-metre quay. NANHAI Nanhai International Container Terminals (NICT) NICT, located in the Sanshan Economic Development Zone, lies on the northern reaches of the Pearl River. NICT has a 5,000-tonne off-dock refrigerated warehouse and an all-weather freight station. SHANTOU Shantou International Container Terminals (SICT) SICT, located in the Shantou Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of the Guangdong province, offers a wide range of services, including ro-ro vessel operations, container repair, reefer and dangerous cargo handling. XIAMEN Xiamen International Container Terminals (XICT) XICT, situated at the deep-water Haicang Port in the Xiamen Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Fujian province, is the only container-handling facility in the Xiamen SEZ capable of accommodating super post-panamax vessels. Shanghai Pudong International Container Terminals (SPICT) SPICT, located at Phase I of the Waigaoqiao Port in Shanghai, operates three deep-water berths. It also offers supporting services that include a container freight station, reefer facilities and dangerous goods handling areas. NINGBO Ningbo Beilun International Container Terminals (NBCT) NBCT is a container-handling facility situated at Ningbo Beilun Port, a natural deep-water port on the southeast coast of China. The port has excellent inland highways, rail connections and nautical conditions including a fairway channel with a depth of 18.2 metres and a sheltered harbour. HUIZHOU Huizhou Port Industrial Corporation (HPIC) HPIC, located at Quanwan Port Zone in the Daya Bay Economic and Technological Development Zone of Huizhou, is a multipurpose facility that handles containers and non-containerised goods such as refined oil, liquefied petroleum gas and general cargo. Huizhou International Container Terminals (HICT) HICT, which will soon become Huizhou port s first dedicated terminal, possesses excellent natural deep-water conditions and is located within close proximity to the well-developed manufacturing hinterland of eastern Guangdong. JIANGMEN Jiangmen International Container Terminals (JMCT) SMCT JMCT, located in the mid-western area of the Pearl River Delta, comprises 10 warehouses with a total area of 10,000 square metres. On site customs and joint inspection services are available at the facility. ZHUHAI Zhuhai International Container Terminals (Gaolan) (ZICT(G)) ZICT(G) is located near to the industrial city of Zhuhai in the Guangdong province. It offers great potential as an important shipping centre for southwest China. Zhuhai International Container Terminals (Jiuzhou) (ZICT(J)) ZICT(J), located in the city of Zhuhai on the western bank of the Pearl River Delta, offers container-handling and general cargo services together with warehousing facilities occupying a total area of more than 14,000 square metres. ASIA INDONESIA Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) JICT is located in Tanjung Priok, Indonesia s largest container port. With a total quay length of 2,200 metres, JICT serves as Indonesia s national hub port and a gateway to Jakarta and industrial heartland of West Java. Koja Terminal (Koja) Koja is situated at the Port of Tanjung Priok next to JICT. Koja has seen improvement in operational efficiency as well as throughput since the acquisition in 2000. KOREA Korea International Terminals (KIT) KIT is located at the Gwangyang Port Phase II, a natural deepwater port situated along the main trade arteries of northeast Asia. With a total of four berths, KIT has the capacity to serve the latest generation container vessels. Hutchison Korea Terminals (HKT) HKT operates two deep-water container terminals in Busan. These container facilities are linked with international shipping routes to Asia, Europe and the Americas.

MALAYSIA Westports Malaysia (KMT) KMT is an integrated facility situated at the Port Klang, Malaysia s premier port. It offers container-handling services, with the capability of also handling dry bulk, liquid bulk and other conventional cargo. Hutchison Logistics Australia (HLA) HLA is a new inland logistics centre which is located 18 kilometres from Port Botany. HLA will provide open access facilities close to the catchment of metropolitan import and export businesses and give much needed empty container storage capacity for Sydney. MYANMAR Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa (MITT) MITT is Myanmar s first purpose-built international container terminal. MITT is located just 25 kilometres from Yangon, the largest city in Myanmar and the country s international trade portal. BCT SICTL PAKISTAN Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT) KICT is located in the Port of Karachi, a natural deep-water harbour west of the Indus Delta on the Arabian Sea. KICT has a continuous total quay length of 973 metres. South Asia Pakistan Terminals (SAPT) SAPT is situated at the estuary of the Keamari Groyne basin, providing the most convenient access to ships entering Karachi. The new facility is scheduled to be operational in 2013, with a depth alongside up to 18 metres. THAILAND Thai Laemchabang Terminal (TLT) TLT is located at Laem Chabang Port on the Gulf of Thailand approximately 100 kilometres from Bangkok and 25 kilometres from Pattaya. With a total quay length of 400 metres, TLT provides container and general cargo handling services. Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal (HLT) HLT is specially designed to facilitate Thailand s growing container traffic. It operates six container terminals with a total quay length of 3,250 metres. VIETNAM Saigon International Terminals Vietnam (SITV) SITV is located approximately 75 kilometres from the Ho Chi Minh City hinterland in Vietnam. SITV will be developed into a new container terminal using existing road links to manufacturing centres in the Ba Rai Vung Tau Province. AUSTRALASIA AUSTRALIA Brisbane Container Terminals (BCT) BCT is located at Berths 11 and 12 in the Port of Brisbane, Australia s fastest-growing container port. The two berths, which are expected to be operational in 2012 and 2014 respectively, will have a depth alongside of 14 metres. Sydney International Container Terminals (SICTL) SICTL is situated at Terminal 3 at Sydney s Port Botany, New South Wales premier port and one of Australia s major international container ports. Construction of the four-berth terminal has already begun and will be completed in 2013. MIDDLE EAST & AFRICA EGYPT Alexandria International Container Terminals (AICT) - Port of Alexandria and Port of EI Dekheila AICT operates two ports in Egypt the Ports of Alexandria and El Dekheila, where both ports are located on the Mediterranean Sea. Serving as the country s main commercial ports, Ports of Alexandria and El Dekheila are well-positioned to capture cargo from the hinterland. OMAN Oman International Container Terminal (OICT) OICT is a modern container-handling facility capable of accommodating the latest generation of mega-vessels. OICT is located in the Port of Sohar, outside the Straits of Hormuz in the Gulf of Oman, approximately 200 kilometres from Muscat and 160 kilometres from Dubai. UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Hutchison Ajman International Terminals (HAJT) HAJT is situated only 25 kilometres from Dubai and 10 kilometres from Sharjah, where most of the UAE s manufacturing and trading companies are located. The main container and general cargo berths of the terminal have a total quay length of 1,250 metres and a yard area of 12.9 hectares. SAUDI ARABIA International Ports Services, Dammam, Saudi Arabia (IPS) IPS, located at King Abdul Aziz Port, Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is a multi-purpose deep-water facility capable of handling containers, ro-ro cargo and break-bulk refrigerated cargo. TANZANIA Tanzania International Container Terminal Services (TICTS) TICTS, located at Dar es Salaam, is the country s major container terminal with a total berth length of 725 metres and depth alongside of 12.5 metres.

EUROPE BELGIUM Trimodal Container Terminal Belgium (TCT Belgium) TCT Belgium is located in Willebroek, an extensive and fastgrowing distribution region between Brussels and Antwerp. TCT has on-site rail facilities and regular barge shuttles for onward connections to other inland destinations. GERMANY DeCeTe Duisburger Container Terminal (DCT) Europe Container Terminals (ECT) ECT City Terminal ECT City Terminal is a modern container-handling facility in the heart of Rotterdam. It has excellent links to and from the continental hinterland. ECT Delta Terminal ECT Delta Terminal, located on the North Sea coast near Rotterdam, is the country s largest container terminal capable of handling the latest generation of container vessels. Euromax Terminal is a state-of-the-art terminal close to the ECT Delta Terminal in the Maasvlakte area of the Port of Rotterdam. DCT is the busiest inland port in the world. The terminal is efficiently linked to ECT and destinations throughout Europe by regular barge and rail shuttles. ITALY Taranto Container Terminal (TCTI) TCTI, located at the Port of Taranto which is one of Italy s top container ports, is approximately 170 nautical miles from the main Suez-Gibraltar shipping route. The terminal has excellent links to national rail and road networks connecting the terminal to the hinterland of the country. POLAND Gdynia Container Terminal (GCT) GCT, located in the Port of Gdynia, is a feeder port serving Poland and the southern coast of the Baltic region. The port is home to 90 per cent of all Polish sea-borne containerised cargo. SPAIN Terminal Catalunya (TERCAT) TERCAT is the busiest container terminal in the Port of Barcelona, which is located in the most dynamic Spanish region and a major entry point for the rest of the Iberian Peninsula and the western Mediterranean, particularly France. TERCAT s new Muelle Prat Container Terminal, Barcelona Europe South Terminal (BEST), is scheduled to be fully operational during 2013. When completed, the semi-automated terminal will have 1,500 metres of quay, a depth of 16.5 metres and a 100-hectare yard. ECT Delta Moerdijk Container Terminals (MCT) MCT serves as an Extended Gate for the ECT terminals in Rotterdam. MCT can handle containers transported by barge, rail and truck, providing a congestion-free and sustainable connection between local ports, the southern parts of the Netherlands, and the European hinterland. Trimodal Container Terminal Venlo (TCT Venlo) TCT Venlo is the prime inland gateway for the Dutch region of Venlo and the industrialised German Rhine Ruhr area. Bargeshuttles and shuttle trains connect TCT Venlo with the ECT terminals in Rotterdam several times a day. UNITED KINGDOM Port of Felixstowe (PFL) Euromax Terminal PFL is strategically located on the UK s southeast coast and within easy reach of major ports in northwest Europe. As the UK s first purpose-built container-handling facility, PFL is also the largest and busiest container port in the country. SWEDEN Container Terminal Frihamnen (CTF) CTF is a well-established and efficient container-handling facility, situated at the Port of Stockholm. Container Terminal Nynashamn (CTN) is a new container terminal to be built at the Port of Nynashamn, Norvikudden, which is situated 60 kilometres south of Stockholm. Upon completion, CTN will have a total quay length of 800 metres and a depth alongside of 15 metres. THE NETHERLANDS Amsterdam Container Terminals (ACT) ACT is made up of three berths with a total length of 1,415 metres and a depth alongside of 15 metres. ACT also has an excellent ondock rail facility for the fast and efficient handling of containers. Amsterdam Marine Terminals (AMT) is a ro-ro terminal that performs stevedoring activities for automobile carriers and has a number of warehouses for the storage of other goods. PFL London Thamesport (LTP) LTP is located on River Medway near London, in the heart of South East England. With nearby intermodal connections, LTP is ideally-positioned to serve as a port of entry for UK-bound container traffic. Harwich International Port (HWH) HWH is one of the UK s leading multi-purpose freight and passenger ports with excellent road and rail links to the Midlands, London and the South East. LTP

AMERICAS ARGENTINA Buenos Aires Container Terminal (BACTSSA) BACTSSA is located at Terminal 5 of the Port of Buenos Aires. It has modern container-handling equipment and facilities, including a container freight station and a logistics centre. BAHAMAS Freeport Container Port (FCP) FCP is a deep-water container port in the Bahamas, serving as a transshipment hub for the eastern seaboard of the US and the principal east/west line Haul routes through the region. Terminal Internacional de Manzanillo (TIMSA) TIMSA is located at the Port of Manzanillo on the west coast of Mexico. TIMSA is ideally-positioned to support trade between Asia, Mexico City and Guadalajara, as well as nearby industrialised states. Internacional de Contenedores Asociados de Veracruz (ICAVE) ICAVE is located at the Port of Veracruz on the east coast of Mexico. In addition to facilities for handling containers, bulk and general cargo, ICAVE is equipped with a container freight station, an intermodal station, an empty container depot and external storage and repair facilities. Terminal Intermodal Logistica de Hidalgo (TILH) TILH is a modern logistics facilitiy in Eastern Mexico comprising 53 hectares within a Logistics Activity Zone. Hidalgo is well connected to the national transport network, including rail lines from different destinations around the country and Mexico s network of modern interstate highways. The facility offers a number of value-added services including stuffing and stripping, equipment maintenance, Customs inspections, and various other logistics services. TILH can also cater to reefer and empty container storage. Lazaro Cardenas Terminal Portuaria de Contenedores (LCT) FCP LCT is located in the State of Michoacan, on the Pacific coast of Mexico. The construction of Phase I has been completed, giving a total quay length of 886 metres. Freeport Harbour Company (FHC) FHC operates one of the largest cruise facilities in the Bahamas. It is a passenger terminal with centralised check-in facilities for home porting, a 26,000-square-foot Caribbean style retail/ entertainment centre and a Bahamian craft market. Grand Bahama Airport (GBA) GBA is the largest privately-owned airport in the world. The airport has an 11,000-foot runway capable of handling the world s largest aircraft. Grand Lucayan Grand Lucayan sits at the heart of Grand Bahama Island, fronting the clear blue Caribbean waters and an expansive 7.5 acre beach. It is the AAA 4-Diamond rated hotel offers outstanding amenities such as two championship-quality golf courses, tennis courts, a spa and fitness centre, world-class meeting facilities and a range of dining options. Talleres Navales del Golfo (TNG) TNG is a renowned shipyard located in the Port of Veracruz, one of Mexico s major container ports. TNG provides a wide variety of shipyard services including ship repairs, offshore structures fabrication and ship conversions. PANAMA Panama Ports Company (PPC) - Port of Balboa and Port of Cristobal PPC manages and operates the ports of Balboa and Cristobal, located on the Pacific and Atlantic side of the Panama Canal, respectively. These world-class facilities are connected by a railroad and serve as a one-stop shop for trans-shipment and logistic services in Latin America and the Caribbean, both for inbound and outbound trade. MEXICO Ensenada International Terminal (EIT) EIT, situated 110 kilometres south of the US-Mexico border along the Pacific Ocean, is a container-handling facility which has undergone extensive redevelopment involving quay construction, dredging and new equipment purchases. Today, it is one of Mexico s few specialised container terminals. Ensenada Cruiseport Village (ECV) ECV is constructing a premier cruise ship facility. The development includes a three-berth cruise terminal, mega-yacht marina and commercial centre for retail shops and restaurants, a central plaza, and recreational facilities.
