Larnaca s Airport (LCA), is connected with direct daily flights with several major airports in Europe. In addition to scheduled flights by the main airline operators, a number of charter companies also offer flights (and accommodation) to Larnaca which could provide you with additional travel options. Where should I stay? The participants are requested to make their own reservations directly with the hotels. The hotels shown in Table 1 are close (i.e within walking distance) to the Venue (Sun Hall hotel) while the hotels shown in Table 2 need public transportation or taxi to reach the Venue. Special contacts have been made for the hotels in the following list. Please make sure that when you make a room reservation you let them know that this is for the TFEIP/CLRTAP Meeting. More hotels can be found through the various service providers on the Internet.

How do I reach my hotel from the airport? The only way to reach the hotel from the Larnaca airport is by taxi. Taxi fees are at 15-25 according to the distance. The Venue (Sun Hall hotel) and city centre is about 10-15 minutes from the airport. All the hotels shown in Table 2 are located in the Larnaca-Dhekelia road and are about 20-25 minutes from the airport by taxi. How should I commute from my hotel to the Meetings venue? Hotels Table 1: To reach the Venue please ask your hotel reception. All hotels included in Table 1 are closer than 500 m, so you can reach the venue on foot. Hotels Table 2: To reach the Venue, you can use taxi or bus. The taxi fees are about 10-12. For the bus, you can take bus no 18 that take you to the city centre (outside the Sun Hall hotel). There are bus stops outside each hotel. The fees are 1,30. For more information about the time schedule you can ask your hotel reception. What will the weather be like? A typical temperature range for this time of year would be 25-30 C. So, you can bring your swimwear!!! You can check current weather conditions in Cyprus at http://www.cyprus-weather.com/ What to do in my evenings/spare time? Apart from swimming, there are a lot of things to do in the City Centre. The town s immediate attraction for visitors is the palm-tree lined sea-front promenade known as Phinikoudes (pronounced Phi-ni-koo-thes). This area is full of bars, restaurants and coffee shops. The shopping area is very close to Phinikoudes. We have organized a one hour walking sightseeing tour of the city center for all the participants. It is a unique opportunity to become acquainted with the authentic character of the city and to have an invaluable introduction to the long history and traditions of Larnaca in an enriching and entertaining way. In addition, we have organized the Task Force dinner for Monday night, in a traditional Cypriot tavern where you would have the opportunity to taste the Cyprus Meze (traditional food).
