The following summarizes the relevant evidence of the product family for all performance characteristics according to Clause 4 of the product standard. Superscripts are explained in paragraph 6. 4.1 Resistance to wind load (see EN 13830, Clause 4.1) When tested according to EN 12179, curtain walling shall meet the performance requirements when exposed to positive and negative s as set out by EN 13116. The wind loads used for testing are based on Eurocode 1 EN 1991-1-4. Maximum frontal deflection of the curtain wall's framing members exposed to the design load shall not exceed L/200 or 15 mm, whichever is the less. ift-product Passport Curtain walling according to EN 13830 Page 8 of 27 4.2 Dead load (self-weight) (see EN 13830, Clause 4.2) The curtain walling shall sustain its self-weight plus any attachments (e.g. solar shading devices, service balconies, etc.) incorporated into it by original design. The loads shall be transferred safely to the building structure via the fixings intended for that purpose. Dead load (self-weights) shall be determined in accordance with EN 1991-1-1. Evidence of rigidity is provided by structural evidence (certificate) or by type-specific structural certificate. Maximum deflection of any main horizontal framing caused by vertical loads shall not exceed L/500 or 3 mm, whichever is the less. This characteristic shall be demonstrated for the purpose-designed system. 4.3 Impact resistance (see EN 13830, Clause 4.3) Impact resistance of mullions, sills, transoms, panels and mullion/transom intersections shall be determined in accordance with EN 12600, Section 5. The results shall be classified as per EN 14019. Glass products shall be in conformity to EN 12600. The referenced evidence and expert statements do not apply to safety barrier glazing systems.
