Animation has always been a part of film. In 2016 the tradition is part of every aspect of the Norwegian Industry: From one brick in a vast wall as VFX in blockbusters, as the primary storytelling device in short films, to games where animation engages through interactivity. In, animation as an art form has never had a stronger footing. The Norwegian Animation Company Qvisten is presently producing In the Forest of Huckybucky premiering in December 2016, and will soon start working on the third film in the Pinchcliffe universe. As a company, Qvisten has created a significant part of s animated heritage. The short film The Boyg by Mikrofilm AS sees stepping into the abstract graphic tradition. The Boyg is an interpretation of the Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen s play Peer Gynt, and will participate in this years Out of Competition programme in Annecy. And last, but not least, has an active production of animated TV-series for children; the Elias-series, City of Friends and Ella Bella Bingo to name a few. ANIMANDO AS Elias; Rescue Team Adventures (TV series, 2015) Animando was founded in 2007 by the creators of the award winning children s TV series Elias, the Little Rescue Boat. Our vision is to create entertainment that kids and their parents will enjoy together, just the way it all started with Elias. The recently completed production Elias; Rescue Team Adventures (52 new 11-minute episodes) was Animando s first production, and was made in coproduction with the Icelandic animation studio Caoz ehf. By the time of completion, Elias; Rescue Team Adventures has already had a very significant international distribution. In 2014, Animando also produced four short animated films for the Norwegian Rescue Boat Society, promoting safety at sea. Working together as a multi-disciplinary in-house crew, we ve become a tightly woven team able to execute ideas quickly and overcome economical and technical limitations. Since then it has produced high quality fiction and infotainment for cinema and TV, both live action and animation. Their style is characterized by their minimalistic frame by frame animation but they are also familiar with other animation styles. Kindergarten has contributed with their animations to one of the most popular TV shows for kids on television (NRK s Newton) in for many years. They are currently developing an animated TV series for kids called Pixelheart and are looking for potential co-producers. 12

SAGATOON AS Troll: The Tale of a Tail (feature, release 2017) Sagatoon is in the business of storytelling where their specific role in the production of animated feature films focuses on the development and packaging of projects with the intent of securing production financing and distribution for the global market. The four filmmakers, Kristian Kamp, Jørn Kolsrud, Johnny Carlsen and Jonny Westernes, along with long-time collaborator Paul Gerstenberger, came up with the concept and screenplay for Troll: The Tale of a Tail, a 3D CGI animated feature. The film is in production in USA with a budget of $16 million. co-production partners are Timeless Films (England) and Great River Productions (USA). SPROCKET Sled Zeppelin (feature in development) Popcorn Pictures ( TV-series in development) Sprocket is a Norwegian development studio established in October 2015 by writer/producer Nick Simons and writer/illustrator Camilla Storm. Nick has worked for the BBC, NRK and in the independent sector. He commissioned Emmy-nominated animation tween series Ask Lara, and created the animated creativity show Learn To Draw Minis. Camilla has run her own design agency for the past 10 years, and recently designed and produced the props for 104 episodes of kids TV show Box Yourself Minis. It is the largest supplier of visual effects for feature film in as well as delivering VFX for commercials. The company was started in 2001 and has contributed on several films awarded for best visual effects, including Max Manus (2008), Trollhunter (2010), Headhunters (2011), and the Oscar nominated Norwegian film Kon-Tiki. Storm Studios also co-produced the animated short Peter & the Wolf, with British BreakThru Films, and won the Oscar in 2008. Storm Studios recent work includes The Shamer s Daughter and the Hollywood blockbuster Pixels, due in theatres summer 2015. In 2010 Storm Studios co-founded the post-production house, Shortcut, with Nordisk Film. Shortcut has 13 film editing, online, grading and sound design suites, run by talented artists and engineers. Storm Studios and Shortcut share a beautiful old factory building next to the picturesque river running through Oslo.

TENK.TV AS The Tower (feature documentary, in development) tenk.tv is built on broad and extensive experience. The partners have either written, directed and/or produced seven TV series, eight feature films (including three films for Oscar selections) and a dozen documentaries. What all our projects have in common is an eye for international involvement and targeting - and a deep rooting in our own enthusiasm and fascination for the stories we tell. Tenk.tv is currently in pre-production with The Tower - a feature length animated documentary, directed by Mats Grorud, The Tower is a mix between different genres and animation techniques. Trollfilm s trademark is to produce epic children films with a strong social message, making the films both entertaining and useful, like the multi-award winning Angry Man (2009). Trollfilm s next film, Mummy did not Know (2017) directed by Anita Killi and Marianne Bundgaard Nielsen, is a short for children and young people about depression and loneliness. Trollfilm is currently in development with Anita s first animated feature, Christmas Survivors, about human relationships and codependency.
