2 Short Vita Christian Mueller Producer: Having two degrees in Economics (Germany) and Film Production (Australia) Christian Mueller has founded his Film Production Company, Eyecatch Productions in Eyecatch Productions is producing Live-Audio-Visual-Events, Image- and Short-films and providing production services for feature films. In combination with his work as freelance project supervisor at the Institute of Animation at Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg he has wide experience in producing and running live-action and animated films, especially with VFX, in Germany and Australia. Long Vita Christian Mueller Producer: In 1977 Christian Mueller was born in Saarbruecken, Germany. Besides his studies of Economics with majors in Marketing and International Management at Hohenheim University, Germany, he finished his Honours Degree in Bachelor of Creative Arts (film production) at Flinders University, Adelaide (Australia), being best student producer of his year. In 2003 Christian Mueller founded his film production company Eyecatch Productions ( Since January 2006 he is also freelance working for the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction of Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. Having been mainly responsible for the sections schools and realtime film festival for the fmx/06 ( one of the worlds best known international conferences on Animation, Effects, Games and Digital Media, he is currently responsible for the production supervision of student projects (3 rd and 4 th year) and third party productions. Between 2002 and 2008 Eyecatch Productions has produced several shorts, documentaries, feature and industrial films for different clients in Germany and Australia, such as Bayerischer Rundfunk, Robert Bosch GmbH, Muenchner Filmwerkstatt, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele and Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. With his germanpolish animation project The Time he has been nominee for the 2007 Promotional Prize for Joint Film Productions (Robert Bosch Stiftung). The major projects in 2007 have been his work as Line Producer Germany for the 90min long german-japanese feature film Der Rote Punkt (AT, Muenchner Filmwerkstatt) and the 45min long short feature LEA (KHM Köln) that has been screened in the section PERSPEKTIVE DEUTSCHES KINO at Berlinale In 2007, Christian Mueller has been invited to take part in the talent program of Cartoon Movie (European biggest animated movie coproduction conference, In 2008 he has been invited to participate in the talent program of goeast Projektbörse ( He also has been offered the chance to attend the 2008 Sarajevo Talent Campus (

3 Production Fields of Interest Christian Mueller Producer: Having worked in the area of film production in Germany and Australia, Christian Mueller is always interested in further enhancing his international production contacts. At the moment Christian Mueller is not working in the area of documentaries. Seeing that different countries and people all around the world are more and more working together and getting to know each other, international coproductions will have a huge impact on the film industry. Especially in the area of Animation and VFX seem to be very promising opportunities in cooperation with Eastern-European countries. The special production fields of interest of Christian Mueller are listed below: Live-action films: In the area of live-action films Eyecatch Productions and especially Christian Mueller offers a wide range of production services and is interested in further enhancing possibilities for international coproductions. The productions services contain basic services (location services for Baden-Wuerttemberg, Bavaria and Saarland; actors research; crew contacts; ), medium services (such as casting; contracting; technical and logistical support; ) or even Line Producing for the German part. VFX: In the area of VFX (computer generated effect in live-action films), Christian Mueller is on the one hand especially interested in getting to know Eastern-European VFX-companies and/or producers and on the other hand developing cooperation structures for VFXproductions. Because of his work as production supervisor for the Institute of Animation of Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg (one of the world leading animation schools), Christian Mueller is in good contact with many young and talented VFX-specialists and supervisors. Traditional Animation: Even though done with the computer and direct input graphic tablets traditional animation is still dominating the animation culture. Therefore Christian Mueller is looking into different ways of producing and realising traditional animation projects in 2D and 3D, computer or hand drawn. At the moment he is not working in the area of stop motion or puppet animation. Especially Eastern Europe with its long tradition in the field of traditional animation still seems to have many interesting companies and artists offering a wide range of project opportunities
