Example: Determining Market Share In 2008, Acme Inc. exported $400 thousand worth of upholstered wooden furniture to China. The following year, Acme exported $800 thousand worth of upholstered wooden furniture to China. U.S. upholstered wooden furniture exports to China totaled $2.7 million in 2008 and $3.9 million in 2009. Acme s market share in China grew from 15% to 21% in just one year.
