What is Graphic Recording? Graphic Recording - also called Live Visualization - is a technic which is used to ceate visual protocolls on conferences, workshops and meetings. The Graphic Recorder listens carefully, destills the essence of the spoken words and creates live pictures of these. The pictures contain symbols, text and images. It can be done on big white paper with markers or digital for example on the ipad. He is best positioned in sight of both the speakers and the attendees. From here he can see well and is been seen as well. Speakers and attendees of discussions feel appreciated when seeing theier words arising as pictures on the wall. Why does it work so good? The identification of the attendees with the event is definitly higher. That is because they feel like being part of the process. It is much more easier to create a sustainable process even after the event itself is over. Complexity and the connecting dots of the content are shows explicit in the live drawings.
