Fairleigh S. Dickinson Scholarship. Not required for admission to the University.) Financial Planning Scholarships: All applicants who are foreign citizens or American citizens who reside abroad may apply for a University scholarship. International student scholarships are awarded at the time of admission and the amount is based on a combination of academic merit and financial need. This unique relationship with the U.N. gives faculty and students access to a wealth of facilities, programs and resources, including regular on-campus presentations and special briefings for FDU students. In January 2009, the University was granted special consultative status by the U.N. s Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). FDU is the first comprehensive university in the world to earn that rank, joining more than 2,000 international organizations including groups such as Amnesty International and Habitat for Humanity. Special consultative status allows FDU to send delegates to international conferences and meetings, and gives students access to volunteer and internship opportunities.
